2011 All-Smoaky.com H.S. Football Team

Smoaky

Recommended Posts

This team was selected based on a combination of membership voting and high school coaches feedback.

In the past, we selected as many as four teams, but all that seemed to do was complicate everything and in some cases water it down. I've decided to have one team with very few exceptions, we've tried to keep the team within reason on the number of positions, knowing that's an almost impossible task.

This All-Smoaky.com Team is a combination of all classes and includes any player who was nominated from any team that is connected to a district that includes at least one East Texas program.

Thank you for your time, interest, feedback and passion for East Texas High School Football.

Devante Harris is not committed to OU anymore. He recently switched to Texas A&M.

I know, the information attached to him was released for the poll well before DeVante changed his commitment.

Of course I'm a homer, but my guess is that if Luke Turner hadn't gotten injured in the 7th game of the season, he would've been the first team punter. If all he did was punt, and his punts would've came in the normal dropback set, he would've had monster numbers.....similar to Middlebrooks back in '06. Luke can boom punts and kickoffs.

That list would make a VERY good team, though. No complaints, all are deserving of that honor.
