Man, you gotta throw in Lindale (I know i'm a homer, but it's true) and Cleveland. At NAMMB this year, I thoroughly enjoyed Atascocita's (Or however you spelled it) performance. I also enjoyed Center's, Spring Hill's, Cleveland's, and Definitely Lindale's. I wasn't overly impressed with Vidor's and all the 1A and 2A band's performances either.

No question here. It's the fightin Texas Aggie Band.

I'm class of '02, but wasn't BQ. My girlfriend, now wife, only went to the games to watch the band.

Football team might stink, but the FTAB always wins halftime.

The best military 1a bands in the state didn't go to NAMMB. Tenaha and Shelbyville were at the State Marching Competition in San Antonio. They were the only military bands to make it there in 1A.

New Boston and White Oak went to state in 2A also (only ones in 2A to make it). So you could say that the best 2A military bands did not got to NAMMB either. Posted Image

Huntsville is a very impressive military band.

Vidor and Nederland from Region 10 are great as well.

One military band that seems to be consistent in the state marching contest is China Spring. They are the one military band out in central Texas. They perform a lot of atypical military band music but it fits with the style. They have videos all over youtube.
