Anyone like to share updates on how your team is doing. Any interesting tidbits to share would be nice.

At this point Steve Edmond, David Ash and M J McFarland have stepped up. McFarland is a major plus.
Who is John Galt?

There are some rumblings that Joe Bergeron may over take Malcom Brown as the starting RB.

Orlando "Duke" Thomas an early enrollee freshman is impressing at CB.

Ash, according to players and coaches, has really stepped up and in very impressive thus far.

Mike Davis is returning to is old self catching everything thrown his way, made a one-handed grab over Diggs that should've been on ESPN.

Texas kickers are the biggest concern right now during the spring. Incoming freshman Nick Jordan of Coppell may be forced into the job before he arrives on campus.

Bennie Wylie, the S&C coach, is the spring MVP.
Without sports evolution would be a theory!

A&Ms conditioning coach is kicking butt as well. In fact they are starting spring practice later so he can get them into better shape.

With Ash stepping up, the thought is that Brewer will redshirt which puts him as a potential transfer with Swoopes coming in next year.
The rushing game will be a 3 headed monster. Harsin will look for ways to put at least 2 of the RB's on the field at the same time. Eventually Bergeron or Brown will be moved to fullback.

There was a guy on the rivals main board claiming that the "three heade monster" of Bergeron, Brown and Gray might be the best RB trio EVER.... I think that's stretching it, but they should be solid. The oline still needs some work IMO but they are in the right direction. The thing to look at though is how they fair against the better defenses. Of the 4 games Texas played last season against a team in the top 50 in rushing defense, they didn't break 100 yards once. Twice held under 50. I think it is still a work in progress before they are cabable of running on everyone, but this year will be the bet rushing threat since Jamal Charles. A passing game would help then out...

Tamu hasn't started spring ball yet, but there are very good reports coming from the S&C department. Sumlin said when he first arrived the players were in seriously bad shape. He says that he was not suprised in the second half letdowns because the team was in such poor condition. Reviews seem good from the new S&C coach so far... The suprise workout player so far has been Brandon Williams. He has had an awesome spring and if cleared by the NCAA, could be the number 2 back. Maybe even #1 if Michael doesn't heal 100%, but I hear he is already working out and could have gone for spring ball but will rest to give younger guys reps and his knee more time.

WETSU is on the mark with Texas...they will have a good set of RBs (yet to prove how good they could be), but you still have to pass the ball with confidence to spread that field. If they can do that, look out. Brewer and Swoops will cause a problem as to who will stay at Texas. Not sure if Brewer will RS this year or not; lot of talk about his progress already. He came from a program that ran Harsin's offense and actually had Harsin help to put it in (might be why he's in Austin). I don't think there is any question you might just see the Horns line up with two backs (and maybe with a FB with the two backs).

Bergeron appears to be the man for now according to all the accounts I've seen. Plus, White at the WR position appears to have rededicated himself and is having a great Spring.

Major concern with the kicking game...the true freshman due on campus in August might have to be the guy. Hope he has a rock for a brain - totally incapable of thinking about anything but kicking.
