Smoaky
Here's the final Top 10's for this season, based on staff voting. I'll include how I voted after this original post. I do know some of you made your passion for your program well known at times during the season and I truly do appreciate it. And, I also know some of the teams that some of you thought should get more love early or midway thru the season faded down the stretch. I'm sure you'll send me/us a note admitting you were a little, "wrong?" Just kidding, I love this website, all the members, my staff and Texas high school football! Smoaky
I told you about Van ALL YEAR SMOAK Good Lord, yes, the self-promotion of your favorite program has been constant. They've been here before, let's see how far they go, or will the trend continue? Because I'm a huge fan of Jared Moffatt, I hope so. upullinmychain
Smoaky I never overrated my Indians from Carlisle But I did figure them to finish stronger. Loss of a couple athletes at 1 a level can be devastating to team moral and spirit. Chain out

Leopard4Life
Wow, didn't expect to see Lovejoy at #2 (or #3 on Smoak's Personal list). I bet if you did a membership poll today the metro-crest teams still wouldn't make the membership ranking.

Smoaky
Smoaky is Glen Rose really that good? Carthage, Kilgore good? What is their signature game this year? I just now they beat Alvarado 41-28, and lost to Stephenville 48-30. It's always difficult to be elite-East Texas good in the 3-A's and below, but I think Alvarado is pretty solid, we know Stephenville is really, really good, so I would think those two games alone show where Glen Rose is right now. They also beat 2-3 other playoff teams, China Spring, by 7 and Fairfield 45-6. Fairfield isn't at those levels, they're good, but still an impressive win. As you and I know, only time will tell... Pylot
Smoaky, Personally I believe you are led by your love for east Texas. There are many great teams out west in 1A. I believe you will see Munday in the final game in Div. II and Stamford in Div I. Never rule out Albany or Wellingtion either. I believe all four of those should be in the top 10 Class 1A. bootleg
Why is Navasota not ranked in 3A? They are in region III and in "east/central tx" as much as Stephenville, Lorena, or Alvarado.

Pylot, I have tremendous respect for the West Texas schools, but this site is a combination of greater-East and Central Texas. If we included 1-A, there's no doubt some of those schools would be involved. We started this site 10-years ago as an East Texas site, added Central Texas 2 1/2 years ago, and who knows, maybe one day we conquer the entire state? Smoaky
Why is Navasota not ranked in 3A? They are in region III and in "east/central tx" as much as Stephenville, Lorena, or Alvarado. In my weekly East Texas Top 10's on Twitter, regardless of classification, Navasota is my #1 ranked team. But, with this website, we haven't included Navasota or those in their district in our weekly Top 10's. If we did, there's no doubt Navasota would be ranked #1. Stephenville is connected to a district that includes Hillsboro and they're 20-miles or so from Waco. Lorena is 10-miles south of Waco, and every one of the teams in their district are basically Waco or within 10-miles of Waco. Thanks for asking...
