Vote for your "Performance of the Week" in East Texas for the games played between October 18th-20th.

The nominations come from surfing through box scores, websites, and from email nominations from high school coaches.

If you want to submit future nominations, the weekly deadline is Sunday, 2:00pm.

And finally, there are always more than twenty performances who deserve recognition, but we have to limit the poll to twenty.

what impressed me the most about waylon murray is the fact that he didnt play at all the forth quarter, and his back up ran for just under 100 yds and a TD, given this was against jacksonville, no offense indians, he ran extremely hard and i'd be 75% of his yards were after contact

His real name is Sadaydrian, and I'm not sure about the correct spelling.

Everyone calls him "Da Da" as in Day-Day.

Akeem Shavers from Redwater might be dangerous playing for someone else! I believe he scored all 26 of their points on long runs, one of 91 yards!!

Akeem Shavers "might be" dangerous. You've got to be kidding. Just because his team is not playing well now does not take away from the fact that he is a very good player. He averaged 20 yards a carry against your team- nobody in the secondary could catch him. If he had had a little more help with blocking he could have had even more. Please dont take away from this fine young man and his performance be qualifying his abilities.

I'm a big Tyrick Rollison fan, but it's ridiculous that he be player of the week everytime he goes over 300 yards with 5-6 TDs. As much as they throw he'll win the honor 2-3 more times this season. If he gets it this week he's certainly deserving.

AJ George from North Lamar also plays linebacker (recently converted to running back) and did a great job at stopping the run. He got all of his yards right up the middle a tough kid. He was puking his guts out late in the third qtr but came back in and played both ways the rest of the night. Very deserving selection this week.

if he puts up the numbers and people vote for him then why shouldn't he be player of the week?

I don't know you think I haven't been--they're ranked number-one in my Class 2-A poll.

Secondly, I get stats from Coach Patton every week. Although the Yellowjackets have some great wins, and there have been some nice performances...these are awfully impressive.

When one comes along---let me know. I'd like to nominate them.

And you should actually look at the poll. Ketaraus Stanton is not only on this poll, but he's been on the poll throughout the year.

Thanks for actually reading and looking before complaining.

I have seen the Sulphur Springs QB, play twice this year, and he is truly a quality QB. He could have thrown for over 600 yards, but, was taken out early in the 3rd Qtr. The final score in the Lindale game was really not a true indication of the actual game. Coach Owens showed class by calling the dogs off early. This kid will take a sack if he has to, then throw for 25 yards, he really has a lot of composure in the pocket. The TH SS game should be the real test. He gets my vote.

How about someone nominating him?

Every coach receives an email reminder each weekend.

Most respond, some never do.

We comb numerous newspaper box scores, websites, etc...and we can only do so much.

And I absolutely hate it when we miss someone.
