Congratulations Daingerfield on the win. Not a bad effort from a kid with one leg though. The Newton QB has heart and I hope he is able to fully recover from that injury to have another great season next season.

That was probably the guys from 105.7 KYKX outta Longview... They're just fans of all the EAST TX teams and show their support whenever they can... To my knowledge I don't think they post much here on SDC, to great guys though and huge football fans... Anyone who loves football can appreciate the effort from both teams on that field Saturday !! Yes that was Harlen, Pigskin, and Bluetooth from KYKX there with Furlow #65 and Chattham #75 from Tatum showing their support for D-field. Cam said D-field and Newton were their toughest 2 games in the playoffs last year and he picked this one to be decided by less than 7 points. Wish I could have seen this one but I couldn't pass up that 5 day hunt in San Angelo! That freezer full of venison sure is gonna taste good! Good luck this week Tigers! -------------------- Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift from God!

It's a good thing Daingerfield isn't playing Kirbyville! You could only score 21 on Newton? Heck ya'll got shutout in the second half. If you were playing Kirbyville last week you wouldn't have been rolling out basketballs during the game because you would need them on Monday! Daingerfield COULD NOT STOP Kirbyville! I wish you guys would have made it to D1! The Cats would smoke you!
Great job by Newton and a gutsy performance by their QB! Daingerfield FINALLY played somebody! |

I am talking red nose, bozo hair and big feet. Don't forget Newton put up 27 on Kirbyville. And, Kirbyville needed a last minute touchdown to squeek by Arp. Kirbyville didn't exactly shut down Rice either. Daingerfield was in route to a big win against Newton. To Newton's credit, they took advantage of 4 tiger turnovers in the third quarter to get back in the game. Great effort on their part. Also, a great effort by the tigers to come away with the win. Daingerfield would give Kirbyville everything they could handle and more. I have said all along, Daingerfield was a better team than Arp this year (I have seen them both play several times) and, again, Arp had Kirbyville beat. Oh, but I guess clown's don't have good memories. Guess what CLOWN, we ain't rollin' out the basketball's anytime soon. Maybe you can get the questionaire's number, you guys seem to have a lot in common. You both suckle the teet of whichever team beat your team or whichever team happens to be playing Daingerfield any given week. Just another Daingerfield hater. Get in line CLOWN.

What did you say your daddy was?" The only Clowns are the low-class jokers that were rolling basketballs out on the football field at a high school game. The only reason Arp was in the game was because of FOUR turnovers given to them by the Wildcats. It happens I guess, at least that's what you said happened in the Newton game. Arp didn't stop the Wildcats. The only team that can stop the Wildcats is the Wildcat team themselves. All I mean, Clown-Lover, is that all I heard was how Kirbyville is lucky Daingerfield isn't in the D1 playoffs, and that .... blah, blah, blah, blah. FACT IS YOU SCORED ONLY three touchdowns against a team that Kirbyville hung 40 on! You didn't even play Arp so why would you even bring them into the equation? I talked to Newton players and they said that Kirbyville was a MUCH better T-E-A-M than Daingerfield. Get your mind out of 1983 Clown-Lover! |

Daingerfield would absolutely destroy Kirbyville. Simple as that!!! Whatever. You barely beat Newton who had a crippled QB. It would be a great game no doubt. But, destroy Kirbyville? Take some Pepto... You have diaherrah of the mouth. Good luck to the BCS bound Daingerfield Tiggers. |

They also had a kickoff return for a TD in the first half. The Rice Patty offense scored two TDs against our JV team in the fourth quarter after we had already hung 55 and had the game well in hand. |

Dfield was forced to play to games. one against newton and one against the refs. Heck, the refs even made some bad calls on newton. but this officiating was ridicoulous. First let me say that no, I am not an official on the crew that worked this game. However, the crew that worked the Daingerfield-Newton game have no ties to either team, town or area. They are one of the premier football officiating crews in Texas and have worked four state championships in their career, including the 2006 5A game at the Alamodome. To say this crew's officiating was ridiculous, bad, or anything less than fair is to say that the person making those comments has no knowledge of the game of football or the rules & mechanics of the game. If you do not like how officiating is done....get off your big ol' rearend, attend the training camps, join a chapter, work 100's (if not 1,000's of sub-varsity) games and if you are lucky, maybe you will be able to be selected to be on a varsity (Friday night) crew.....And then maybe, just maybe you will work you tail off to become highly regared not only by other officials but football coaches from around the State of Texas where you are requested to work high profile playoff games each & every year! And maybe, just maybe....hopefully you won't get called names or have your ability to officiate ever called into question by someone sucking on a chili dog & hot chocolate from the cheap seats! -------------------- It's all fun and games...until the Flying Monkeys attack!

sounds like your first team defense is a JV team Yeah, you're right. We couldn't probably hang with a team that's so powerful enough to beat a three-loss team 21 - 18. Three teams beat Newton before you did... Corrigan-Camden, Diboll, and Kirbyville Daingerfield's "almighty team" evidentally doesn't have they key to the city. All three of those teams scored more than the "high flying" Daingerfield offense. |

And only one of those teams is still alive, I think I'll take my 5th Rd game over a Newton blowout.. But sometimes they call me crazy !! Goodnight Irene !! -------------------- |

Now this is the most intelligent post I have heard from a Daingerfield fan. I agree with you 100%. I have ONLY been commenting on the Daingerfield posters that have said "Kirbyville is good, but they couldn't hang with Daingerfield" or "you only beat Arp by two points, Daingerfield would destroy you" etc. Good luck this week! Hopefully East Texas will bring back two state titles! |
