Trinity Valley C.C. left tackle, and former Arp multi-sport star Zack Spears told David Smoak he's committed to play at Iowa State University.
Spears, a 6-7 320-pound left tackle, chose Iowa State over Memphis, SFA, and South Alabama. He also received some interest from Utah. Spears, a star basketball player at Arp, has only played two years of football, one at Arp, and one at Trinity Valley. Spears will sign on Wednesday, and join former high school teammate Sedrick Johnson in Ames, Iowa. |

Truly an amazing accomplishment. 1 year of high school football, and 1 year of college football, now in the Big 12!! Kid is like my brother, hes been motivated his whole life by people telling him he couldnt do it and now he has. Hes worked so hard to achieve this goal. Next step NFL. Zack is a beast and an athletic freak for his size. 6'7 320 and runs a 4.9- 5.0 legit 40. He'll be In the leauge next. A-TOWN, STAY DOWN!!! READY? AND IM KRUNK!!!

He is such a good kid and great friend to Sed. If you see one then you usually see the other. Great job Zack we are so proud of you.

Congratulations to Zack Spears! I have a Zac Spears and I hope to be able to congratulate him on here one day too.
I remember hearing his name when he was in high school and heard he was a great athlete and young man. |

Zack is a beast and is so going to the league! He's mos def the funniest/biggest guy I know. I'm really proud of him and I know he's gonna go into extra beast mode at iowa state. Go do work son!
