Lead singer and creator of the band Megadeth is an outspoken Christian. i had absolutely no idea until a few seconds ago.

In an interview he was talking about growing up as a Jehovah's witness then he rebelled for a few years and actually got into black magic and spell casting for a while. It was a hard road for him to get back to Christ because of all the demonic forces he had surrounded himself with but now he is at peace and has come to know Christ.

most of megadeth's music is pretty political stuff. I always liked it. some good songs in the early 90's. new album coming out soon as well. its getting lots of praise from critics.

He was also a founding member of Metallica, but they had a falling out. There are many stories such as this in the music world. There are many rock stars, that many think are "devil" worshippers that aren't.
OldSchool
something about getting old makes you get spiritual.

Not a funny drunk like the other guys, but an angry drunk apparently.

I like Dave Mustaine. They didn't know how to put up with him. I feel the same about Pete Willis with Def Leppard. Pete was more than an average bloke with Def Leppard, and they don't want to recognize him much. Dave Mustaine is a very intelligent person, and in his younger years the band couldn't put up with his youth. The same could be said of Ozzy and his myriad of great guitarists that have performed for him.

That's just the way it is in the entertainment industry. When I say that, it's the entire entertainment industry. I'd say even Cheaptrick77 would agree with me about Pete Willis. Def Leppard lost a bit of their edge when they let him go, and brought in Phil Collen.

People change their ways over time. Dave had his troubled time in his youth, and just like OldSchool said people get more spiritual when they're older. You'll see.
