It's hard to believe Tommy Hunter has pitched better this year than Ervin Santana.

It was a lot of fun this year watching the Rangers get better. If they can improve their bullpen, they should be able to put some pressure on the Angels. Can't wait until next spring.
Go Rangers!!!

It was fun, but man, do I hate it when it's over. But at least we'll have a lot of good memories of 2009 when the cold rains of winter come.

If anyone ever wonders why Michael Young is the unquestioned leader of the Rangers, just go to the Rangers official website and check out his comments after the Angels clinched last night. Awesome. A true leader and a fierce competitor.

"I'm mad," third baseman Michael Young said. "I don't buy moral victories or look at the so-called positives. I'm not going to get caught up in looking at the future or anything like that. I play to win right now. The Angels had a great year, they overcame a lot of adversity and did a great job.

What an exciting season. To bad we could only smell the postseason and didn't get to taste it. Maybe next year. Go Rangers.

Josh Hamilton is shut down for the remaining five games, and now it looks as if Marlon Byrd could well be lost for the remainder, too. I guess when it rains, it pours. But all is lost now, anyway. It's a sad day. Just hope Michael Young's hammy holds up for the rest of the way.

Will be interesting to see if again Scioscia decides to play tonight's ballgame like a spring training game, or if he decides to play his starters a full ballgame to keep them sharp. And for that matter, it will also be interesting to see if Washington also decides to run out the Triple A lineup. I hope he doesn't.

Well, at least someone on the team gets it (even if some on here don't). Good to hear their leader isn't rationalizing and putting any stock in what could be next year. If I were him, I'd be mad too. They had their destiny in their own hands and failed. Young or not, inexperienced or not, that's the truth and its good to see their leader understands that.
Kudos to Michael Young.

thats the kind of attitude you want from your captain. if i was a young guy on the team id be in michael's backpocket so i could learn what its like to be a real ballplayer.
