No doubt about tomorrow night's game between SH and CH being huge. If SH wins they should be in the driver's seat for a District Championship. They would at least control their own destiny. However, if CH wins, the District appears up for grabs between SH, CH and Bullard. I am really looking forward to very competitive match between 2 good teams. I am obviously pulling for SH since my daughter plays for them, but I wish CH the best of luck tomorrow night.

CHDogFan i thought your girls played hard. We had a good night Friday night, but even when we got up on your girls, they never quit and kept fighting. They are a good team and our girls better be ready when we face you in the next round. I did not hear how the Bullard v. Gilmer game came out, but here are the standings as i understand them:
SH 5-0
Bullard 4-1 if they beat Gilmer; 3-2 if they lost to Gilmer
Chapel Hill 3-2
Tatum 2-3
Gilmer 1-4 if they lost to Bullard; 2-3 if they beat Bullard
Gladewater 0-5
Good Luck to CH through the next round of district

Congrats to the Lady Panthers, they played a great game!! I have no idea who those girls were playing for CH last night because that was a totally different team playing last night that the 3 previous games we've played!! I don't know what happened to them! We are all hoping that things turn around for the rest of the season because we can't win playing like that!!

I hope they do too. I could tell this was not the same CH team i had heard about. It sounds like they had an off night when we were in town. Hopefully it was just a bad night and they will turn it around next week.

Oct 17 2009, 03:13 AM
Tatum won the first two sets as they did when then they went to Bullard but this time they pulled out the 5th set to take the Win. Will they be able to move into third place?
cowboy1
Oct 17 2009, 06:37 PM
Tatum could move into third place. They need SH to beat Bullard this Tuesday. I don't know the results of the Chapel Hill v. Gilmer game Friday night. But here is what I do know.
Spring Hill 7-0
Chapel Hill 4-2 (going into game with Gilmer. So they are 5-2 if they won)
Bullard 4-3
Tatum 3-4
Gilmer 2-4 (going into game with Chapel Hill. So they are 2-5 if they lost)
Gladewater 0-7
If Spring Hill beats Bullard Tuesday and Tatum wins Tuesday night, then Tatum and Bullard would be tied for third at 4-4. It looks like Tatum's big game will be against Chapel Hill, since they have already played SH and Bullard in round 2 of District. Although, no one can take Gilmer lightly either in spite of their record. SH has to go to Bullard Tuesday night......has Gilmer at SH on Friday and Chapel Hill at SH the following Tuesday. GOOD LUCK TO THE LADY EAGLES FROM TATUM

CH won over Gladewater tonight in 3 straight sets!! Word is Bullard lost to Spring Hill and Gilmer beat Tatum.
Standings should be after tonight:
1. Spring Hill
2. Chapel Hill
3. Bullard
4. Gilmer
5. Tatum
6. Gladewater
Friday Tatum comes to CH and I'm not sure where the other teams play?

Spring Hill beat Bullard in 4. Assuming you are correct that Gilmer beat Tatum, the new standings are:
SH 8-0 (District Champs)
Chapel Hill 5-3
Bullard 4-4
Gilmer 4-4
Tatum 3-5
Gladewater 0-8
The Longview paper should have the official Gilmer v. Tatum results tomorrow. I will look for it. I would say Gilmer has a tougher road to the playoffs than Bullard. Bullard has already played Chapel Hill and Spring Hill in the second round. Gilmer plays Spring Hill Friday night in SH. On the other hand, if Gilmer beat Tatum tonight, they are 3-0 in the second round, while Bullard is 0-3. Should be a wild finish for the other two playoff spots. Good Luck to CH. You guys are definitely in the drivers seat for second place. Good Luck against Tatum Friday night.

SH beat Gilmer Friday night in 3 games. The Longview News Journal reported that CH beat Tatum in 5. I will presume that Bullard beat Gladewater. If so, here are the new standings:
Spring Hill 9-0
Chapel Hill 6-3
Bullard 5-4
Gilmer 4-5
Tatum 3-6
Gladewater 0-8

My congratulations go out to Coach Godwin for a great season no matter how tomorrow night comes out. Good Luck to Chapel Hill tomorrow night in SH and good luck to the Lady Bulldogs in the playoffs. Congratulations from SH.
I also want to say Congratulations to the SH Lady Panthers on their District Championship and to Coach Karen Brundrette in her first year as the Lady Panthers head coach. Keep it Rolling in the Playoffs.
