Well how did opening weekend go for all the bowhunters out there. All I saw were does and fawns. It was nice Saturday morning, wet Saturday evening, and mosquitos were the story for Sunday.

I would not have, would not hunt bow season if it were not for Therma Cell. Amazing.

I saw several doe, passed on them, a couple of bucks, one spike that I passed on too.

Sunday it didnt start raining in Angelina County until about 1:30 p.m., morning hunt was rough

I saw 11 deer. Three were bucks. All young deer. I diagnosed the first case of swine with the carbon flu. I have never in my life seen the mosquitoes as bad as they are now. i pray for some really cold weather to knock them down.

mosquitos, mosquitos, mosquitos, mosquitos and more sat... Sat morning I saw 9 doe and there babys... Starting seeing deer around 730am did not hunt sat afternoon... or sunday morning Sunday Afternoon when i was walking in I got blowed at abd I climb my stand and befor i could get sit down i had deer coming in say 6-7 doe's and a small 6point! But did say MOSQUITOS!!!!!!

Went ahead and harvested a doe Monday evening. Havent seen the first set of horns so I figured I would go ahead and get some backstrap. This deer had been giving me fits all weekend. Saturday morning she came out with her two yearlings and caught my scent. Ever since, she has payed extra attention in my direction and she makes all the other deer nervous. So when she gave me the opportunity yesterday my G5 Striker Broadheads did work.
