vs.
CC Sabathia (19-8, 3.37)

5:07pm TBS

I'm taking the Yankees in this series....I don't see any way at all that the Twins should even be in the game today after arriving in New York at 3 AM following that emotional roller coaster yesterday......maybe they'll make it a good series, though....

WIN! TWINS!

I really, really, really want the Twins to win this one, but I am just not sure they are up to the task. But, I will root for them anyway.
stoneykelly
guess we'll see if cc stinking with cleveland was just a fluke. yankees in 5.
DaveTV1
It was a great game by the Yankees tonight. I loved every minute of it. When it comes to the Playoffs you have to get every advantage that you can. The Yankee brass understands that. The players don't need to be overconfident about tonights game. They need to get their rest and come back Friday, and do it again. Let's Go Yankees !!
chase.colston
One down, 10 to go.

Yankees showed the exact kind of balance that has made them successful this season. Hope it continues throughout the rest of the playoffs.

Go Twins. Beat the snot outta them Yanks!

The Yanks may beat the Twins, but the curse of Arod will keep them from winning the WS.

Absolutely HORRIBLE call by the left field umpire. Mauer should have been on 2nd and then scored on the single.
goldandwhite
The worst I've seen. It wasn't on the chalk, but at least a foot fair. It must have been a mental block or something...
DaveTV1
What a game, what a game !!! Way to Go TEX and even AFraud earned his pay. Great Game, man this was worth the wait. GOOOOOOO YANNNKKKKKEEEEESSSS !!!!!! bounce.gif rock.gif clap.gif

PATHETIC

Phil Cuzzi, the umpire who doesn't know fair from foul.

That homer should have only tied it. The only way for the league to save face is by replacing that incompetent umpire in left. What a joke.

There's another one in the Sox series that needs to be yanked: CB Bucknor.

good game for yanks fans. the call in left was terrible, but if nathan keeps arod in the yard in the 9th it may not ever get to that point. will be tough sledding now for the twins
chase.colston
It was definitely a bad call, but I'm not claiming responsibility for it. smile.gif
The Twins did have the bases loaded with no outs in the 10th, so they're partly responsible, too.

Two down, nine to go.
DaveTV1
I hope that the Yankees are getting ready for tomorrows game. I'm rooting for the Red Sox to make a comeback, and win the next two games. I want them to tire each other out being on the road. If the Angels sweep, it won't hurt them that much.

I don't expect the Twins to come back. They seem like the wind has been knocked out of them They might win tomorrow, but I doubt if we see the Yankees lose game 4. Hopefully Pettite can revigorate his youth, and pull it out. I'd like to see him retire a Champion. I think this will be his last year, if they do.

Wanna bet, old man?
DaveTV1
He won't be a curse, if the Giarardi puts him on the bench. The team isn't about AFraud, Torre is gone.

Game 3

It's kinda funny that you use this exact word selection, considering that Andy is a known 'roider. Isn't HGH used to "revigorate" the aging body.... hmm.gif

Is anyone still giving the Twins a chance in this series??
DaveTV1
I enjoyed watching the game, and I'm glad the Yankees came out with the final victory at the Metrodome for a baseball team. California/Anaheim/Los Angeles is next, I hate them they have changed their name too many times. I hate the Red Sox, and they had the win today and blew it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bga4vLTOJ4U , he has been banned from Yankee Stadium. If he shows up, he will be shot on sight.

Andy came clean about it, and admitted his mistake. I know the injuries that Andy had, and he never used steroids or HGH as an advantage for his career. I know that he has kicked himself in the rear, for using banned substances. I wish he never had, but he did.

I like him, for being more than just a baseball player.

That's an opinion.

I don't want to bash the guy, after all, he actually admitted to being human unlike the majority of the others that cheated, i just thought that your word selection was real ironic considering the topic. I doubt you even realized it whenever you were writing it though.

Besides, he's from Texas... LOL
