yeah i definitely need one of those......but for fishing of course.

What I want to know is, how does something like that go missing and no one notices?!

Heck, they freak out if you lose the laser pointer off of your weapon around here. We once spent 6 hours in the woods looking for one.

somebody fired a supposed missle at an airplane in houston. wonder where it came from cause i know the military keeps very very good documentation on every weapon.

It is not as if the guy found a dangerous weapon. Those things are actually considered single rounds of ammunition. It is not a reloadable "Missle launcher". It is little more than an empty tube once fired. Most are turned into dummy weapons for training purposes once fired. Still odd that it ended up on his land, but not the dramatic story it is made out to be.

So it had already been fired?

You got me. I had assumed that it had. It was not mentioned in the story. I just can't imagine any situation in which a live dragon would not be accounted for. When I was a stinger there was so much security around those things that there was no way you could just take one. I know there are a lot of them unaccounted for from the Afghan. / Soviet war in the late 70's, but no way you could get away with one state side. If that is the case, it is more scary than we may realize.

I just don't understand how something like that could go unaccounted for, whether it had been used or not. Like I said earlier, if we misplace even the slightest piece of serialized gear, they freak out. We have to have a formation and count our serialized gear at least every 2 hours or so, just to make sure everyone has everything we are supposed to. HOW DO YOU LOSE A MISSLE LAUNCHER AND NO ONE NOTICE?! Oh nevermind, its the Army....Hooah, ARMY STRONG! Morons.

Easy there marine, I have some wonderful stories about some of your fellow jarheads who sat down beside a road in Korea in 1993 and quit during the road march portion of the skymaster competition. It is not an army problem. It is an idiot problem and there are plenty of those in every branch of service including your beloved corps.

You are laughing, but you only remembered that song because you were listening to it on your new pink iPod Touch.

However, I have NEVER been on a Naval ship in my life.
