I was in the stand 2day! I was a lone Buck 6 point outside the ears, but let him walk.. maybe 12 yards away! Stayed around for about 25 mins... He was by him self.. So could not tell if he was in rut or pre-rut.. he did not make a sound when i saw him he was on me!!! I was texting my brother... I was like wow a deer! Great to see him nd a Saw 3 doe later in the moring! So Going back in the morning! Is anyone seeing a pre-rut or anything!

Deer are still in bachelor groups in the portion of Anderson county I hunt in. Prerut usually starts around the 15th of November.

They are getting close but not there yet. Around the end of the month after the new moon you should see a differnce in their behavior. THis cooler weather already has the young ones trying to make some small scrapes. They just can't wait!

Was hunting in Wood County yesterday when two doe came by, about 50 yards behind was a small six point. He was trailing them, would sniff the ground every once in a while.

Not a big bow hunter but i love to go and watch from my ground blind and get to see what all comes by and when.. So ill know where to be and when to be there come regular hunting season..
