Does anyone have any new info on this lake. Is it impounding water yet. I thought that I read that it was supposed to start impounding water back in the spring!

It is catching water. They have stocked bluegill and other small fish. They are however allowing water to go out at almost the same rate it is coming in due to a law suit over power lines and getting the road in to the boat ramp. There are several areas that you can drive in and see it. At this time you cannot get on the lake in any way. Fishing and hunting are also tresspassing crimes as of now. I have heard if all goes well it should be full either in 2010 or 2011. PM me if you want info of ways in to be able to view the lake.

Yes. It is somewhat between 259 and 59 north. The dam site is just off of 59.

You would have thougth that this mess would have been sorted out long before they got to this stage. I will probably get back with you the next time I get ready to head that way. I would deffinitely like to see more of it. The last time I was over there was right before they finished up the funding for the park and ramp!
