He deserves the contract, and this will keep him during his most productive years. He's playing like a champ with a fracture in his foot. This is a great signing in my opinion.

Yeah, nice move by the Cowboys to get a long term contract on Ware. 6 yr, $78 million contract and he is worth it. Good job Jerry.

Ware would have been a restricted free agent...so the Texans would have to give up a first rounder in addition to what they wanted to pay him...which Dallas could have matched anyway.

Finally. I knew they would get it done still I am relieved to see the contract signed. D'ware is a class act and a most likely a future HOF. Now I am crossing my fingers for no big contract hangover like so many Cowboys seem to suffer from the year after a big contract extension.
