Kilgore got the #8 seed at the tournament. All 7 teams in front of us are ranked in the top 18 in state.
Day 1: Played two teams on the opposite ends of the spectrum
Rd 1: Def Dallas Pinkston 10-0
Rd 2: Lost to #1 state ranked Highland Park 0-10 awesome team. We were up 3-0 in the 3rd set in mixed, but didn't get to finish. Outstanding girls team.
Day2: Both teams were solid. A lot of close matches, even though scores don't indicate that.
Rd 3: Lost to #13 state ranked Corsicana 1-10
Rd 4: Lost to #16 state ranked Frisco High 3-10
Finished 8th place.
Great season Dogs!
Congrats to T-High on beating Pearce.

Pine Tree went 2-2 and finished 10th, I believe. Not sure of the match scores.
Day 1, Corsicana easily defeated PT; PT comfortably defeated Red Oak.
Day 2, Dallas Pinkston was no match for PT; Lindale easily defeated PT.
Good accomplishment for Pine Tree to make the regional 2 consecutive years. They are losing several players and will have a hard time making it next year.

Kilgore will also lose a lot this year. The top 7 boys and 2 of the girls(#1 and #4) are seniors. Also our #3 girl is moving after this semester, and our #5 girl quit. Kilgore might be looking at 3A, so there may be a lot of change going on.

PT graduates their top 5 boys as well as 4 girls (highest is #3).
There is a good chance that both Kilgore AND Lindale will drop to 3A. In any case, I agree that realignment may significantly change the landscape.
