They are all covers. The only actual Beatles recording on a commercial was "Revolution" on that Nike commmercial. Paul and the Wicked Dragon Lady asked MJ not to let that happen again and he did not.
That's why Joe Jackson doesn't care, and this will infuriate Paul and Yoko. The estates of McCartney/Lennon will still be paid, even with the cover bands singing their songs. I'm not sure what catalogues that Jackson bilked The Beatles out of, but the owner of the copyrighted material gets the bulk of the money.
The music industry is a savage beast, and even George Harrison lost some money to the Chiffons, because he sped up chords with "My Sweet Lord" vs. "He's So Fine". That's why rap artists don't really make that much money, but they are given contracts, even with their sampling of music. The artist or record company that holds the rights to the songs, makes the money.
Joe doesn't care. He's going to make every dime off his grandchildrens inheritance.
This is also the reason that Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley bought out Paul "Ace" Frehley and George "Peter" Criscuola. I hate the music industry in many ways.
