I was amazed at the tuba player from Pittsburg that did the Piccolo AND Tuba solo!!! Just amazed!!

haha i agree! once he was handed the piccolo you could hear the crowd gasp a little bit, and even more when he started playing. i was astonished that Pittsburg didn't place though...

i was kind of shocked too considering they played better than Cleveland...but as great as pittsburg marches, cleveland makes you gasp when they turn...3A was interesting this year...I think spring hill got up there because of the difficulty of their music...you never hear Great Little Army anymore because its haaard and they pulled it off well

Ahh, they play The Great Little Army? One of my favorite Alford marches, I've got to see their performance!
Whenever i saw Spring Hill pull out their 12 french horns i knew it was going to be a close placing. You don't just see a french horn feature lying around a drill.... ever.

I just watched their drill on youtube. Great Little Army was good, needed more dynamic contrast though. But the French Horn feature on The Klaxon was really awesome.

The Pittsburg band should have definately placed but im sorry Cleveland put it down and did an amazing job !
