I never have done the whole camera thing. But being in love with the outdoors and needing some time away (if u know what im talking about.) I would like something to do those other times of the year when I can't sling an arrow or shoot something and throw it on the grill. Don't get me wrong I love to fish as well. But i am curious on what kind of camera would be a good one for around $100. I've seen some around 59.99 and 79.99 at Wally and Academy etc. Those are definately in my price range. Let me know what you think. I just think it would be fun to see what is on my place.
What's the best cam for the buck?
How much and where?
Infrared or Flash
And is it worth getting one?

We have Moultries. The have worked really well. They were on sale for around $69 or $79. Bass pro has them at $89.00 now. I've been impressed with them thus far. Message me if you want more details.

Ive had a Moultrie for a few years its the 4.0 megapixel It has worked pretty good until i checked it a week ago and it had water insude it. The creek flooded and flooded the camera so its history. I purchased a Wildgameinovations camera at academy for 89 dollars. After oppening it up it seemed to be cheapely made and i decided to take it back. I then orderd a moultrie just like the one i had from Bass Pro for 99 dollars. I then decided to keep the other camera and see how it worked after 4 days positioned on a feeder i checked it and it had 177 pics and they were all excellent. Most were of deer with the rest coons and possoms. I would reccomend both of these but the wildgame innovations seems to work better on a feeder than on a trail because of the trigger speed. The moultrie works good on a feeder or a trail.

I use the wildview cameras. Inexpensive and take a pretty good pic. Mine around $85.00. Sensitivity is good, Reaction time is really good (never have pics with no animals in them), the only thing is they use a flash so sometimes you get a picture about an hour before dark that will flash when it doesnt need to and you get just a bright picture that makes it hard to make out the animal. I'm satisfied with mine.

Awesome, keep'em coming. So far I've heard of the Moultrie cam's and Wildview cam's. Price is affordable. May have to be an early Christmas present.

Ok I have had mine for 1 year and I have already had to replace the front screen were u see what is happen same thing with the other. multrie has been real great about this issues they have replaced them both! So if it was me leave the Flash one in the store and get the infrared one!

I have the Moultree infrared 4.0 too and love it. Have had it for 3 seasons and it still takes great pictures. It is good on batteries too. I've had the current set in for about 4 months now and over 1,300 pictures.

I have a StealthCam It's a very reliable camera. If I were you I'd make sure to get infrared camera of some kind. I got my cam at Cabelas on sale for 100 or 120 something like that. Like I said VERY RELIABLE. The ones that your seeing at Academy are probablynot reliable. I know somebody that used to work there and they said they get those back a lot because I asked when I was looking at a cam. They told me the best was the StealthCam and from what I've seen he's right.
