WOW

Word out of Boulder today is that once highly-touted running back Darrell Scott has cleaned out his locker and left the team. Scott was the arguably the nation's most highly-coveted running back out of high school in the 2007 graduation class. Scott leads the team in all-purpose yardage despite being limited much of the year by injury. Coach Hawkins says he left the team for "personal reasons" and will probably end up transferring to a school in California.

If Colorado can somehow find the cash to pay for it...Dan Hawkins might be next out the door.

The curse of the Aggies continues:

The week of the OSU Game: Dez Bryant ruled ineligible.
The week of the Tech game: Sheffield goes down with injury and can't play
The week of the ISU game: Arnaud still banged up and not as healthy as they thought
The week of the CU game: Scott quits the team.

Move aside Madden and Sports Illustrated...the Aggie curse is here.

Brandon Sharpe, (Tech's best defensive player), had food poisoning as well. He has 10.5 sacks on the season and he also missed the N. Dakota game and the UT game. Aggies deserved that game though, great offensive gameplan.

To not hijack this thread, you can tell Hawkins isn't a great coach because he can't cultivate his best players. He makes average players good and good players average.

Hawkins will be fired at the end of the year, if not before. I thought he was a good hire when they got him, but they have gotten worse each year it seems.

Man, I'm so glad Scott didn't pick Texas. Of course, when he picked CU over Texas, I knew he wasn't right in the head anyway. He never materialzed and another "top recruit" (Perriloux) like him turned out about the same after shunning Texas.

He had a chance to be a Horn, but passed it up, probably would be there top RB this year.
