After reading the religion topic a few things occured to me.........Jesus was the main character in the best selling book of all times. More converts than anyone else. And our time table is formed around Him. This is the year 2009... 2009 years from what? The birth of Christ..AD..Anno Dimino(spelling?)........Anything that happened before 2009 we say its BC...before Christ.....wow! .....................also, if man is millions of years old, how come we just now got cell phones. Man as we know him has to be a short term deal...things change at a rapid pace now days......I can download music to my ipod which was unheard of fifty years ago......if man is millions of years old, why didn't we get this info a few million years ago?.............so it all came about in the last hundred years?.....what are the odds of that....Give me a break...

good one jv........can you imagine the destruction the flood caused. We see mud slides and flooding on the news.....a flood of that magnitude would reshape mountains, valleys and rivers. Could bury bodies deep in the mud or ground...a lot of churning going on.......

All that water would probably cuase a Grand Canyon. It sounds a lot better then the theroy of one million years of water dripping in the same spot.

Just think what the population would be after a million years of procreating. As far as evolution, if we evolved from apes, why are there still apes? Wouldn't they all be people by now? Talk about logic.

You must have missed the Flintstones episode, when the family took the trip there. Many people also don't take into account the upheaval of the earth caused by the death of the Saviour. There was a great earthquake, that happened shortly before Christ's resurrection. Matthew 28.

In my opinion this can be included in the religion thread. The entire world shook, when Christ was resurrected.

The earth can form quickly, and it can form slowly. Some of you may appreciate this, it's from Wikipedia, but hey it was quick to find there. I remember reading this story when I was 7 years old, and it made an impression on how quickly things can be formed : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Par%C3%ADcutin .

I may be a little off on these numbers but you can get the gest......The river enters the grand canyon at somewhere around 2500 feet above sea level and exits the canyon at about 1500 feet above sea level....but the top of the grand canyon is around 5000 above sea level........could the water have ran uphill?

Sometimes it takes more faith not to believe then it does to believe.

If you believe in evolution your thought process has to be that nothing made everything - Isn't that impossible
