7 confirmed dead, at least 12 injured.
Confirmed 2 shooters, 1 captured.
Supposedly there's a 3rd shooter still shooting inside the Post.

According to a press conference with the Commanding General of Ft. Hood :
The gunman, Maj. Malik Nadal Hasan, is NOT dead! He is in custody and in stable condition.
Also, the female police officer who gunned him down is alive and stable as well.

Did you guys hear when the shooter's cousin called in yesterday to Fox News? And I quote, "He was a good American." He, the shooter, also had always been Muslim and his cousin also had a Muslim name.
Now, why the heck the Army would let in somebody like that is beyond me. Since he was a psychiatrist, I worry about the soldiers that he's seen all these years.
One thing's for sure, if someone has a Muslim name and they're in Fort Hood, uh, they're in for an interesting time - rightfully so.
This whole thing is absolutely horrific, and whoever in the Army that let him advance and didn't take him seriously on not wanting to be deployed... some heads are fixing to roll.

That's true, I watched it as he spoke (as hard as that was). Someone had written an article before about him understanding what a true American is and how they feel... just from his actions and his appointees, it's VERY clear he DOES NOT nor does he WANT TO understand what it truly means to be an American.

I read that the shooter was a very vocal about the war in the Middle East. He said it was a war against his people and his religion. This is very disturbing to me because at that moment he should have been counciled, and if he truly felt it was a war against "his people and his religion," then it was time to release him from "our" military. Make no mistake, this was a terrorist act. This man did not want to go to Iraq and fight for the US. He could have gotten in his car and drove away; gone AWOL. He could have put his gun to his own head, but he chose to take out as many of the enemy as he could knowing he would die.
Call me a bigot if you want, but I say it is time to call in all Muslims in our military and find out what side they are fighting for. I think the best thing for the shooter is to interrogate him, and kill him silently. We don't need to martyr him with a lot of publicity.
