Assuming that Texas takes care of business, and makes it. Who will most likely make it from the north? I havet really been paying attention to the north this year. The reason i want to know is because i got Tickets to the championship today and i am absolutely pumped about it!!

I realize that K-State has played very poorly earlier in the season, but they did a great job of mixing up their offense in the OU game. Defense might be a main reason why they would not wind up as Big 12 North representative, but otherwise, I think that they have a really good chance. Their quarterback and running back both are pretty good, and their coaching (Snyder) is above average.

i got mine also 4 rows from field on the home 40! Im relying on texas to be there. But i see mizzou to be there.

I think it will be Texas and Nebraska. K-State is leading the North right now, but I think the Huskers will end up in the championship game.

This is one time the big 12 being weak and very weak in the North could hurt Texas....could be jumped over because of WEAK schedule...............

thing is...texas has a weak schedule, but the team's behind them don't have tough schedules either...texas won't get jumped by tcu anytime soon...a loss is the only thing keeping them out of the NC

Scheduling is always a crapshoot. Sometimes a tough OOC schedule works for you (OU's last year vs Texas') and sometimes it is your downfall (OU's again this year with BYU & Miami, and a green oline spelled disaster). Texas' OOC schedule this year very well could keep them out of the NC game. We'll just have to see how it plays out.

It wont keep them out if they win them all. If it did then everybody that votes for the polls needs to be fired. At some point people are gonna have to admit that this team is one of the very best. TCU is the only undefeated team left up there and i dont think a non bcs school would jump them. Even if they did it would flip flop again if Texas wins the conference, leaving UT at no. 2 because something has got to give in the SEC. Texas takes care of business and they are in.

Cincinnati could easily jump over Texas with Baylor and A*M left and with the' big bad' Iowa State in big 12 championship game...............................................

I'm going to disagree. While Cincinnati has put up some big points, they give up points as well. Also, their schedule overall is weaker than UT's per NCAA.

Schedule Strength of Past Games:
#39 Texas
#73 Cincy

Schedule Strength of Future Games:
#26 Cincy
#62 Texas (Not including possible BIG XII Championship)

Cumlative Strength of Schedule:
#24 Alabama
#43 Texas
#50 Cincy
#53 Florida
#67 TCU

http://web1.ncaa.org/mfb/2009/Internet/tou...dule/tough.html

Bottomline: Texas wins out, they will play in the NC.

The S.E.C. and the Big XII both are having down years with their competition. There are no must see games this week in either conference. If Texas wins out they should be playing either Florida or Alabama. Right now, I'd say Florida vs. Texas in the National Championship, just like I did last year. Oklahoma had no business being in the National Championship Game, after getting beat by Texas. No one from the Big XII North is showing any consistency.

The must see games are T.C.U. vs. Utah and Ohio State vs. Iowa.

Too bad there's not a playoff for the National Championship.

They beat Texas last year, but in a playoff I had Texas vs. Florida. There isn't a playoff system. Oklahoma whipped Tech last year. I saw that they had a chance to make a run by beating Texas. Instead, we still have the BSC opinion polls. So, it's still an opinion. Play the games on the field, not with polls, but by who comes out on top at the end of the year.

I agree... The only knock i have on a playoff is that the two best teams dont always end up at the final game either. If the ACC champ and Ohio st managed to get hot at the end of the season last year and won it i would be singing a different tune lol. But i like the chances it gives teams like Boise state Utah and TCU. All in all nothing will ever work like it should...I like the playoff but you could end up with a championship game of a 4 loss ACC team and a possibly a WAC or BIg east or the non traditional title teams. They clearly are not the best. They just got hot at a good time. But the BCS is opinion based and will continue to screw things up...

But a playoff might never happen. The closest thing we will get is a AND 1 game where the top two bowl winners play each other. The bowls are a great tradition and a huge moneymaker.
HitEmHarder
Playoff will never happen. The powers that be like it just the way it is. No one can see the HUGE cash cow that is out there with a playoff system.

Look for Texas to win out and play someone in the BCS NC Game....probably Florida.

No way. The only way Texas gets jumped is by Texas losing. While I agree the computers will down grade Texas because of their schedule, the humans voting on the polls will give Texas a ranking of #1 or #2 which is 2/3 of the consideration. Texas schedule would have been a factor if Virginia Tech, Ohio State or USC had been undefeated. Their schedule could have kept them out of the title game. But who would have figured Tech, OU, and Baylor would have suffered key injuries and OSU would be hurt by losing Bryant.
