They stay perfect another week along with the Colts.
Colmesneilfan1
I think the Saints are going to be the team to beat in the NFC this year.....
BayouBengal
They are making me believe it too.
HitEmHarder
They seem to find a way to win each week...doing it the hard way though. When will that time come that they can't come back?
USNDocOfMarines
New Orleans is good, but they came close to losing to Atlanta last week and to Carolina this week. Those are two mediocre teams, if NO plays that close with a good team, the Saints will get beat.
spacegolfer
You can count the Dallas game as a loss for New Orleans. No way will they come back on Dallas.

I doubt Dallas is ever ahead for the Saints to have to "come back". So you may have a valid point.

I know your wishing this were true but sadly ..... the Saints don't have enough to beat Dallas.

Your almost right on one of your predictions tho'! Dallas almost has the 8 wins you said they would get. Ooooooops Sadly again they will have many more on top of it. But I'll give you credit for those 8 wins!
Youngblood
This would be a whale of a game if these teams played this week, but it's hard to tell where either of them will be 6 weeks from now. One team may continue to improve while the other may fall back in the pack, injuries are unpredictable, etc.

If they played this weekend I'd probably pick the Cowboys to win, but I'd predict a tough game.

Think about what you're saying........NO is the best team in the NFC...the Cowboys are an average team. They may squeak into the playoffs, but they don't have what it takes to make an impression. I said I'd get off the Cowgirls....er uh....boys if they beat Philly and they did. But be realistic about your predictions.

If you would look at the games for NO you could see their not "that" good. We will see when Dallas plays them.

Man, your loyalty to the Cowboys is wonderful. You are a great fan. But you are correct, we will definitely see who the superior team is when they meet up. I just hope all of the Cowboys are healthy and they get a few calls so that you can't make any excuses.
Rhino2K
The Saints ARE the team to beat in the NFC this year. The Pokes play them at New Orleans on 12/19.

Drew Brees and the N.O. offense is the real deal. My money is on the Saints!! thumbsup.gif

Indeed we will...
USNDocOfMarines
New Orleans is NOT the team to beat in the NFC this year. That team is the Minnesota Vikings, followed by the Dallas Cowboys. On Decemeber 19th, the Cowboys will beat the Saints at the Louisiana Superdome.

Let me see if I've got this straight. New Orleans, who was behind Miami 24-3 at one point and actually won the game because of Miami's inability to throw the football.

New Orleans who have had bad games now against Atlanta and Carolina are the best team in the NFC?

New Orleans who lucked out and caught the Philadelphia Eagles without Donovan McNabb are the best team in the NFC?

Record wise, yes they are the best team in the NFC...

But really, who have they beaten?

Detroit? who hasn't beaten Detroit.

Philadelphia? a whole different ball game had McNabb been playing.

Buffalo? please.

The Jets? how many games have they lost now? Sanchez will be the real deal at QB one day, just not this year.

The Giants? how many games in a row have they dropped now?

Miami? A horrible quarterback for the Dolphins actually saved the Saints. Had the Dolphins had a good QB, the Saints would have lost that one.

Atlanta? They got up on the Saints but couldn't hold it. Actually, didn't Dallas beat Atlanta worse than the Saints did?

Carolina? Well, we all saw that game didn't we. So exactly what is it that the Saints have done to be the best team in the NFC?

Well.......if all of those teams are horrible....then NO SHOULD HAVE BEAT THEM. So you have absolutely no argument. The Saints have beaten everybody they've played. Good or bad, no one had beat them.....I think that makes them......the best team in the NFC right now.

Record wise, okay. Best team in the NFC? I don't think so.
Rhino2K
The Saints and the Vikings are the teams to beat in the NFC.....period.

Here are the remaining eight games for New Orleans;

@St Louis
@ Tampa Bay
New England
@Washington
@ Atlanta
Dallas
Tampa Bay
@Carolina

New England will be a good test at home. I think that the Saints might lose this game. I also think that they will lose in the rematch against Atlanta. Home field advantage will play a part in their win over Dallas.

Final Record= 14-2

This will seed them high in the playoffs.

Again....the Saints and the Vikings are the teams to beat in the NFC. thumbsup.gif

Both teams are led by outstanding QB's. Favre still impresses me weekly.

I will agree on Minnisota being a team to beat in the NFC. But I seriously doubt that New Orleans will finish at 14-2. The Saints are having a hard time stopping the run and I see New England, Atlanta, Dallas, and Carolina with strong running attacks AND good quarterbacks.

14-2? maybe.

12-4 is also a possibility.

Here are the Cowboys remaining 8 games...

@ Green Bay
Washington
Oakland
@ NYG
San Diego
@ New Orleans
@Washington
Philadelphia

San Diego, New Orleans, and Philadelphia will be tough games. However, I think that they are all winable games. The Giants game will be determined on whether or not Eli can bounce back from the horrendous performances. So I can also see Dallas finishing anywhere between 12-4 and 14-2

Hmm, I believe that 14-2 will also have Dallas seeded very high. But I will look at 13-3 being the most plausible.

And this thread is about the New Orleans Saints.......You can start your own thread on the Dallas Cowboys or J. Russell by clicking the "new thread" button at the top of your page.

No way Dallas runs the table the next 8 games. I think they will end up 11-5 at best.

Anyway, this thread is dedicated to the Saints perfect start. Back on topic. thumbsup.gif

Sounds classic what your saying. After watching several N.O. games I don't believe Dallas has to worry about being able to win against them. N.O. is VERY beatable by Dallas. I look for Dallas to win out except maybe splitting with Washington.

The record is what it is. It does not show they are the best team. You should win against so many weak teams. It does not show that you are good.

Because they haven't fallen behind bad teams by double digits yet.

Let the Saints try falling behind a good team by the score of 24-3 and see where it gets them.
HitEmHarder
Then again...this is the Cowboys we are talking about and we have all seen how fast a lead can disappear at times...special teams mistake, interception/fumble returns...
Not that this would happen, but we've experienced it before.

In today's NFL most teams can say that.
