The Navy was turned upside down as a result of the Tailhook investigation. More than 12 Admirals lost their jobs as well as the Secretary of Navy. Women pilots were sexually harrassed. The Navy fixed the problem, no one lost their life. Now, you have a terrorist being investigated and no one did anything because they were afraid to go against PC. Heard one ex CID say that the swiftness that the FBI got to Ft. Hood meant that the guy was on the radar, and damage control had begun. tough to explain to a parent that their kid's life wasnt worth as much as a drunken pilot goosing another drunken pilot who was at a party and could have left.
