BHO is going to go and discuss things with his comrades next week. We should have never allowed for China to invest in the first place. Now, a foreign government is telling our elected officials how we should manage our own affairs. Did Americans not tell you first.

Today, I was in a heated discussion with the younger generation. They were complaining about student loans and interest. How those things are evil, and shouldn't be shouldered by them. Capitalism does have it's flaws, but it's the only way that we can maintain freedom. We can choose to work for our own prosperity, or we can depend on the government to give it to us.

I want to live in America, not Europe, not Asia, not Central America, not Canada, and not Africa. I don't want us to be subject under the same laws and regulations that they are. I don't desire to conform to their lifestyles, but I'm wrong for not supporting the government.

In my opinion, our elected officials should have already known that you can't write blank checks to cover an economy. I'm still fuming mad about the Stimuless package. Who are the Chinese to be telling U.S. how to run our economy ? We should be telling them, how things are done. When I read that, I thought this is a sad day in American History. No one tells Americans what to do, we'll we're being scolded now.

May as well keep this thread going as Obama is making mincemeat of the integrity of the United States with his current visit to China. I saw a pic of Obama bowing ( at least that is what I call it) to Hu in China. I don't have the link. The pic reminds me of what he did in Saudi Arabia.

Adding fuel to the aggravation created by the Obama administration is what I heard yesterday over the radio that GM has completed its first quarterly financial report since being bailed out. GM reported a loss of $1.4 billion for the previous quarter per the account on the radio. Here is the "good" news about the report, GM reports it is actually making money with its automotive manufacturing in China! Now that info is encouraging ( joke). I read some weeks ago GM invested $250,000,000 in an endeavor to build autos in China and I am assuming with the bailout dollars i.e. taxpayer funding. Just another example of criminal activity condoned by criminals in D.C.

I realize that your last two remarks are quotes of others. In defense of conservatism we must realize that people are not as dumb as politicians think we are. While I do not believe in a mobocracy, I do not agree with having a presence of government in every aspect of our lives.

Would you not agree that The Constitution of the United States, as it was first written, can appeal to all aspects of a political spectrum ? In my opinion, it allows for dissent from the inhabitants of this fair Nation. I feel that it is our elected officials who have trampled upon this document to suit their needs and agendas. I see it from both political parties. I'm just going to side with the one that has trampled upon it the least.

Our present government has enacted laws, that should be administered by local communities and states. One shoe does not fit all, when it comes to governing a large nation. That's one of the things that irks me about the Democratic Party. I realize that our President Lincoln broadened the scope of the Federal Government, that has led U.S. to where we are today. Hindsight is 20/20, but if he had known that the laws that he allowed to be implemented would one day lead to the chaos that we have today, he wouldn't have allowed them. In my opinion, he signed them under the duress of preserving the States and the war that was being fought at that time.

We can fast forward through all the other Presidents as well, but their policies are what have us in this quagmire that we have today. Socialism is still an injustice to humanity. While it looks good on paper, just as a utopia does, it can never be accomplished as it is written. Democracy does work, until we have despots that attempt to use it as Lenin, Stalin, Pol Pot, FDR, JFK, LBJ, BHO, Castro, Chavez, Mao, Hussein, etc. .

It is we the people, that need to take back our country from the politicians. We shouldn't be working for the government, the government should be working for U.S. . We should all have freedoms, but those freedoms are being eroded by our government. Today, the government is telling us what we should be doing, just as China is telling our elected officials. It shouldn't be foreign governments. It should be the taxpayers.

That is true the constitution does protect protest, but when the same people who protected Bush by saying anyone who is against him is not a true American, then start calling the new regime "communists", etc. When in reality they are not even liberal. You are right democracy does work, but you can't trust the corporations to keep the welfare of the people in mind. That is the governments job. A government for the people, by the people. Colmes can get on here and start spewing how no one should be able to get into a private business' affairs, but I am glad that my government protects me from fraud, insider trading, and many other thing corporations do to try to increase their bottom line. You guys can talk about how government has no business keeping insurance companies from arbitrarily denying claims due to existing conditions, or whatever. I am glad that the government is stepping in and making the companies treat people fairly. That is their purpose, that is what they do, they protect our interests, and rights. It may not be in the Constitution, but our Declaration of Independence clearly states that we have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The government offering affordable health care does not impede on anyone's rights. I would argue with the money you will save you can consume more of the other goods you enjoy more.

We are interdependent on China. We owe them a lot of money, whereas they owe their economic boom to trading with us. They are no threat to our national security, because they do not want to lose their new wealth. They have intentionally tied they currency to the US dollar so that they can trade more cheaply with the rest of the world. By the way they are the worlds second largest economy with guess what? A socialistic government. I am not condoning the oppression of the Chinese people, but you can not argue with the recent success of their economy. Granted it is not strict socialism anymore, but they have adopted the best ideas from both capitalism, and communism, and created their own hybrid model. If they can continue this growth their economy will very quickly surpass ours.

I agree. When I am in foreign countries I like to partake in the customs. However, if I were representing my nation, I would feel like I was representing our norms, and values as well. We do not bow. I am sure it was no more than a good will gesture.

I believe there is a time and a place to protest. I never called anyone that bashed any Republican President a communist. It has always been their rhetoric that has unleashed my scorn at their protests. I have listened to their statements and their words, not that they protested G.W. Bush, that's a given right of freedom. I voted for Bush, but he made a lot of mistakes. I won't sugar coat G.W.'s mistakes. I won't say he was the best option in 2000, he was a better option than Al Gore. The same applies to 2004 with Kerry.

As for business practices, there are many that do seek to make a dollar on the backs of their employees. We've all seen that aspect of business. Unions at one time did make a difference, but now they are intertwined with the government. The Government has overstepped their bounds in what people can make a difference in their working conditions. That's why Unions support those that will make promises to them, but put them out of jobs. Jimmy Hoffa proved that. The Robert F. Kennedy condemnation of Hoffa was speaking out of the corners of his and his brothers mouth. They needed the Teamsters vote, and Hoffa could deliver it. That was a simple dog and pony show. Honey "Fitz" taught his boys well.

I have never said the Chinese weren't smart. I've read many of their works, and Lao Tzu, Confucius, and many of their ancient writers do bring interesting topics to my mind.

Forcing change, isn't the way that it should be brought about. Information is at our fingertips, but even our current leaders do not accept it.

See the point I was trying to make in my "American Conquest by Big Red" topic was that China won't have to fire a single bullit to take over if that is their plan (it isn't). All they have to do is continue to buy our failing corporations and provide us jobs. I read something today where Gm said their main focus in 2010 was sales in China....i read this while reading about the new Buick Regal which is selling very well over there. It looks like this is becoming a very symbiotic relationship.


One thing that China is very concerned about is how bad the dollar is tanking (obviously). If they have trillions of these dollars....and these dollars and worth jack...then they are getting screwed....so it is in their interest to try and help stabilize our economy. I get it. Hopefully we all get that.


But somewhere in the back of my little "conspiracy riddled' mind, I see more sinister plans being carried out. Especially concerning the death of the dollar and how badly that would effect china....cause I'm not sure they are onboard with the globalists agenda....they are certainly not onboard with the whole global warming scheme. That concerns me. While China is rejecting U.N. favored climate control change the very nature of U.N. Agenda21 fits China as it is considered a developing country like India. That is interesting as it seems much of the mission is accomplished in transforming these two countries into global economic leaders.
