If anyone had questions on whether the Horned Frogs could play with Texas, Florida or Bama, just watch the highlight reel from last night's trouncing of Utah. I predict this team will win their BCS Bowl game. And they get almost the whole team back next year.

But, if they are going to play in the top tier of college football, drop the ugly uniforms and go back to basic uniforms. They looked like an "Oregon" fashion show last night. As a matter of fact, I heard that 10 guys off of Oregon's team want to transfer to TCU. Can you imagine TCU against Oregon? How ugly would that be.

TCU is the real deal and I liked the unis...

I've been saying TCU is the real deal for quite some time, and they looked absolutely awesome last night! I got to watch the onslaught in the first half last night while we were eating at a sushi bar right down the road from Amon Carter Stadium in Fort Worth. Fort Worth has really gotten behind the Frogs. After we got done eating we went downtown and went to an indoor/outdoor bar for some live music. Entering downtown we saw a building that had purple lights shining on it that switched back and forth from saying TCU to Horned Frogs. There were plenty of people wearing purple at that bar last night.

There is no question in my mind TCU can play with anybody, including my Longhorns. I saw a write up in the Longview paper the other day whose headline was "National Title, How About State Title." I think that's what it read, but you get the meaning. It compared UT and TCU, and was a very good comparison of the two teams at this point. The predicted final score for a possible match up was 16-10 UT, and I think it could go down like that, because both of those defenses are very strong.

TCU has some really, really fast skill position players and Andy Dalton is a very good quarterback. Boy, do I want to see TCU get their shot to prove their metal!

We need a playoff system in the worst way. TCU is not like Hawaii of a few years ago that got stroked by UGA in the Sugar Bowl. TCU is as legit as it gets, and not for a "small school" or "non-BCS school." TCU is a legitimate national title contender and should be treated as such.

Congratulations Horned Frogs and Horned Frogs fans on having an awesome team, and enjoy the success. I want an all-Texas national championship game.

On that note, when we were leaving that sushi bar I talked about earlier, they showed the results of a poll question they'd posed online. The question asked who fans would like to see play each other. The options were UT/TCU, UT/SEC champ or TCU/SEC champ. The overwhelming winner with I think some 60% was UT versus TCU with TCU versus SEC champ with I think 20-something % followed by UT/SEC champ. Lots of people would like to see UT and TCU play for the national title and I'm one of them.

The uniforms were unfortunately a one time deal done by Nike. you wont see them again

those helmets were SWEET!!!

I have to admit that I'm believing that they are a top team in the Nation. It's a shame they probably won't get a shot at the title.

TCU is definitely opening some eyes around the country.....Go Frogs!!!

The Frogs didn'r disappoint Sat. night. They came out and took the game over early in 2nd. quarter. East Texas boys really being a big part of the team..they are a TEAM...why their winning!!!!!!!!

They have been on a mission since being snubbed when the Big 12 was created.

Was it not their choice to go to another conference at the time? Seems I remember they felt they would be more competitive...I may be wrong.

I would like to see TCU/LSU. It could be a Texas' little brother vs. the SEC little brother matchup.

For you to call either of those teams "lil brother" is rediculous.....especially when Texas get's beat like a red headed step child by the SEC.

Texas beat a mediocre LSU team a few years ago....and who really cares when that happened. I'm talking about this year.....but oh.....wait......lil horn fans have to live in the past.....its all they got.

Chris Simms didn't choke against LSU? Texas didn't play any SEC teams this year, but LSU didn't play any Big 12 teams either. Keep hanging your hat on 2007. It'll be a long time before Less (with more) Miles delivers another one.

That tshirt has long been worn out. Did I tell you that they were giving out LSU tshirts at brookshires today? I got three of them for my hunting trip...... I mean you had to pay for toilet paper?!

So if they played this year what would happen? UT would beat LSU like a drum!

But that will never happen cause no one in the Big 12 can match up with anyone in the SEC.

We'll never know for sure...but Florida beat LSU by 10 and they'll beat Texas by more than that.

Not like a drum...I hate the SEC but i will admit that the LSU D is not as good as Florida or Bama but it would be enough to contain Shipley and Mccoy. If Texas and LSU squared up right now... Texas 21-LSU 12

I cant stand to say this but i think Bama and Florida are tough teams...Tebow is a joke but they guy does win. Im excited to see two great Ds like Florida and Texas in the National Championship. Should be a great game if both get there.

I hope we get to see FL and UT in the NC. Should be a great game.

Completely and ridiculously wrong!

I'm pretty sure that Texas and Texas A&M decided to go to the Big 8 and were ready to leave the other 6 teams behind. The political connections that Texas Tech and Baylor had at the time got them along for the ride into the new Big XII. With the dissolution of the SWC the other four teams didn't have much of choice in the matter so TCU, SMU and Rice joined the WAC and Houston joined CUSA.

Of course if TCU had ridden the coattails of Texas and Texas A&M to the Big XII, TCU probably would have not had the wakeup call that they needed to finally do something about fixing their football program that they let die in the 60s.
