If White Oak plays as good as they did on Saturday against Centerville, they will sweep the state tournament too!

The Ladynecks are going to have to play. Poth has been very good in the past. Many state appearances. Don't know much about them this year.

Poth has a 6 ft 2 middle blocker. Poth always has alot of tall players. Most of the 10 losses are to bigger schools in the San Antonio area. This should be a good matchup but I think WO will prevail.

Poth's 10 losses:

5A teams- Corpus Christi Carroll, Round Rock Stony Point, San Antonio Johnson, Georgetown, Pflugerville, San Antonio Churchill

4A teams- Sequin, Cibolo Steele, Buda Hays

3A team- LaVernia

In the 2006-2007 school year, Poth girls won state in volleyball, basketball, and went to the regional finals in softball.

You White Oak fans need to slow your roll down a bit. We aren't talking about some chump team that just happened to make the state tournament this year. This is Poth. 2 years removed from a State Championship 3-peat. This team is state championship hardened. They know what it takes to win the big game. Nothing against White Oak, they are just as good. But Poth has been there done that when White Oak was watching in the stands. Give Poth some credit and lets slow down on the "sweep" predictions.

All that said, I can't wait to see this match. It's gonna be great! May the best team win!

If you are referring to one of my comments,(above) I was just posting what White Oak fans hope will happen.
(That being Poth receiving their 11th loss after Thursday.) Don't think it will happen, but for the White Oak fans sake, I hope it does.

The reason White Oak was in the stands is because the last time Poth won a state tournament was in 2006 which means all of White Oak's team would have been in middle school. I am from White Oak and I've been a loyal Ladyneck volleyball fan for 7 years now! The game against Centerville last Saturday was the best I've seen them play in a long long time. If they play like that again, a sweep is possible! Can't wait to watch it happen.
