USC is still in the AP Top 25 after being destroyed by Gerhart and Stanford. Alabama jumped UT after beating MSU on the road 31-3. I don't exactly know why Bama would jump Texas today as both won convincingly and UT was beating BU 40-0 at half.

Those voters should know UT could've put many more points on BU if only they'd wanted to. What does Texas have to do to quit being jumped by Bama in these polls?

I mean, if it's always such a big deal about style points how could Alabama have jumped UT when they only put up 31?

I just don't understand sometimes.

Don't worry about your little horns. They will stay undefeated because of the weak schedule and either Florida or Bama will drop because they are forced to face each other before the National Title game. Its one of the perks of not playing in the SEC.

Your not very bright. The ap poll has no say on who plays in what bowl. And plus either Florida or bama will lose so Texas is basically number 2. So quit complaining. U should wonder why tcu isn't jumping Texas because tcu beat a better opponent by more points.

I am very bright. I know the AP poll has no say in who goes where, and isn't calculated into the BCS rankings each week. TCU did beat a team by more points than UT beat BU, who isn't as good as Utah. You do know the score of UT/BUat half time was 40-0 right? You don't think UT could've put about 40 more on the board if they'd wanted to? If you don't, you're silly.

I am complaining, because though directly the AP poll has no say on where teams go, it could have an indirect effect on who goes where by influencing the coaches o vote as the AP polsters voted thus changing the results of the BCS poll each week.

I promise you WOULD NOT like the outcome if Texas and LSU played. You dog Texas on every opportunity. We play our schedule and you play yours. SEC, Big 12, Big Ten, Pac Ten etc, etc. You play your schedule and we play ours and we all see what happens happens.

#1-I didn't even mention LSU
#2-Texas is good, but not as good as the 3 from the SEC. They will not win the Nat Championship. They will get beat by Florida......and get beat bad......worse than 13-3 like LSU did. Texas will have the easy road to the Title game.

This isn't very good analysis, and Florida is not impressive.

USC could finish the year giving up 60 points a game, not score a point themselves, and be in the top 25....and ESPN would be griping and complaining because they didn't make a BCS bowl......shows the intellect, or lack thereof, of the national sports media......

Another perk of playing in the SEC is scheduling Troy, UAB, La-lafayette, Tulane, FIU. Then they get a shot at Vandy, Tennessee, Miss. State, Kentucky and South Carolina.

What is going to be funny when Texas beats Florida or Alabama pretty badly. Just a little note for you. Last time LSU and Texas met, Texas won 35-20 and the LSU fans left midway throught the 3rd qtr. LSU has some of the sorriest, fairweather fans ever.

The only two tough games LSU had this year they lost. Its easy to win against Louisiana-Lafayette, La. Tech, Vandy, Washington, Mississippi State. You needed the refs help to beat Georgia as well. texas had a weak schedule. Everybody knows that, but the SEC gets a pass for what? The only reason the defenses in the SEC are talked about is the offenses are so anemic. Look at LSu. Who couldn't hold them to under 30 pts?! Vandy did, La Tech did. Those teams are horrible.

My t-shirt is faded, but so is yours. Texas will win a NC before LSU does. Did you thank Saban for that NC caliber team? Another thing, LSU backed into that game with 2 losses due to teams in front of them losing. It was more or less due to a lack of options. There were ten teams that year that would've beaten Ohio State by 14.

Neither one of those teams scare me. I'm sorry, but Florida isn't half the team they were last year offensively and Alabama can't throw the football well enough to worry me if we were to meet up with them. Now, their running game is awesome, but UT's rush defense is the best in the country.

There is no team out there like 1995 NU or 1996 Florida or 2005 USC that would have me really worried if we were to play them.

In total fairness.......

It starts with your head coach and works its way down. Jarrett Lee was a poor recruiting effort on Miles' part. Now Russell Shepard can't even line up in the right spot on offense. How is he supposed to operate the offense as QB? IF your head coach was even a decent recruiter he'd have another QB to fill in with a sub-par Jefferson out. LSU should be one of the easiest places to recruit because each year that small state spits out, per capita, more blue chip recruits than any other state. 99% of those kids grew up dreaming of strapping on the Purple and Gold. Half of your recruiting class is right there for easy pickings. All he has to do is sway another 9-10 3 or 4 star recruits and he has it made. Yet he hasn't gotten it together in his time at LSU. That NC season just unfolded so fortunately for him. He backed into it with 2 losses against a team that half of the top 25 would've beaten. Not to Mention it was his second season with all of Saban's players. Last years seniors was the last of the sabanites, so you see what kind of team Miles can come up with on his own....average by LSU's standards. They have more athletes on the field than most teams, and they struggle every week. Poor coaching if you ask me.

TEXAS VS. FLORIDA

That's all it'll say.
Eaglefootball
First of all i truly believe that Bama wins the SEC. They are a better team than Florida is to this point. Secondly, why are people still questioning Texas? Are you seriously comparing LSU to UT? Texas is good enough to be ranked No. 1 imo. If you cant see that then you are obviously blinded by your own idiotic bias... Just for the record, OU was the only scary game that texas played and i think that they would beat LSU with ease!!

Easy now, no need for personal punches. Texas is good, just not as good as the 3 from the SEC. And if you read all of my posts you will never see one time where I said LSU would beat Florida or Bama. I knew that they'd have to pull an upset to do it. So my opinion stays the same. The best 3 teams in the Nation are all in the SEC. I haven't read all your posts on this thread, so I'm assuming you're referring to LSU as the #3 SEC team. That being the case, you really are delusional. Texas would totally @#$%slap LSU all over the football field. Unless you haven't been paying attention Texas has the #1 defense in the nation. Combine that with the fact that LSU has no offense whatsoever.....and LSU would be lucky to score against the Horns. Have fun in the Cotton Bowl, if you're lucky enough to get there.
