9-0. They are still the team to beat in the NFC. Too close for comfort today. The Rams surprised me.

The saints are good but i dont think they are the best team in the league that will be decided tonight.....

Not me either but don't make them sound like the greatest thing going, its that kind of arrogance that rubs me the wrong way.

We aren't fair weather fans cheering for the undefeated team every year, we have our favorite team and root them on rain or shine!!!!!
DaveTV1
I wonder if the Saints will be undefeated after this weekend. I realize it's a home game in the Super Dome. This is my NFL game of the week. What's better: Great NFL and NCAA Football games or Baseball even with the playoffs ?

Fall weather has it's drawbacks, but what is better a football game in the fall, or baseball in the summer with no double headers ?

Saints will lose Monday night to the Patriots, but there is no way the Cowboys even come close to beating the Saints, and the team to beat in the NFC is the Vikings, and the AFC the Colts which will be the Super Bowl champs this year.

Have you checked the Cowboys record for playoffs games? 2nd all-time I believe.

I can imagine a Cowboys fan with a relatively short timeframe of being a fan might not be taking our recent dry spell well, but there are many teams that have had to fair far, far worse. Even the Pittsburgh Steelers. They were Lions-horrible for 40 frickin' years.
Youngblood
How about New Orleans? They are having a great year and their fans are loving it. Good for them, but remember that they have only won 2 playoff games in their entire 43 year history while finishing last or next to last in their division 27 times.

Cowboys have more playoff wins than any other team in NFL history and this drought will end.

Outside of San Fran and Pittsburg, no one has as much to brag about as Cowboy fans. So let it rub.

I havent ever really been a big saints fan but i like drew brees and i Love they passionate football that is going on in NO. I think Dallas fans are true blue. I know some that live and die every Sunday with them. I"m not a huge NFL fan (compared to NCAA), but I can remember where I was when the Saints won their first playoff game....and it wasn't that long ago. As much as South Louisiana has been through in the last several years I thinks its great for not only New Orleans, but the whole state, including my family that still lives down in those parts to have something to be proud of and root for. I have family that just recently got back into their house after the hurricanes, and its good to see that part of the state come together....whether its over tradgedy or football.

Correct me if I'm wrong. It wasn't long ago that NO started out playing real well. Then they started losing again and the wheels fell off with the fans. They are typical fans. When you win they are the greatest. It's all the same pretty much anywhere. Dallas is a little different. Fans expect more from them than NO. NO's history has not been a winning one, regardless of the era. I like the Saints and their playing style. I just don't see them being able to beat Dallas.

Louisiana has always been torn between the Saints and the Cowboys. The Saints were bottom dwellers until Jim Mora came along, then they acted like crawfish and went back to their losing ways, and now they smell some bacon again. I'm glad that they have something to cheer about. I've HAD, and I say HAD to watch some Saints games, because of where I live currently. Everygame I've watched, they've played some exciting football. They may get behind, but they seem to gell as a team and come back. It's only been three games, but I would rather watch the Cowboys, and see how they've progressed or gotten worse. The Saints will probably slip up soon, and I think it will be Monday Night. I'm a Cowboys Homer, but I've seen what happens to my team when they go to the Big Easy. The Cowboys ruled the Saints in the 70's and 80's. I thought my own Boys were beat, when Anthony Dickerson sacked the Snake for a safety at home in 1983. We've met 22 times, and the Saints have all of their 8 victories since 1989. You also have to remember that Wade Phillips was a first time head coach with New Orleans in 1985.

The Saints have been playing well, and they are a virtual lock for the playoffs 2 wins and they're in already. To me, the Saints will always be the red headed step child of the NFL. They're playing at a great pace this season. Who wouldn't want their record ?

I like Brees, but it took him many years to get where he's at. He's also on his 2nd team. I am glad he was able to come back from his horrific shoulder injury, so he's got that.

It's still interesting how people tend to forget all the great plays Tony has made in the few years starting. He's played spectacularly and then the same people complain because he looks like he's having fun. Then they complain because of they say he has no focus. Then no leadership. There will always be a reason for SOME people to complain. Drew Brees has started in the league for 8 years and only is 3-3 in the playoffs. Not that good. I guess he is a winner tho'. After all it wasn't him that lost those big games. Now Tony is the reason Dallas ever loses big games. Romo will never win a big game, because those who comment on the game will keep changing the rules until he wins the inarguable big game, the Super Bowl. It's a different standard for him.

He plays on a team with higher standards...I understand your arguement but im not quite sure why you argue it so much. Romo is a talented player. But you forget cowboys fans have grown accustomed to the guys like Aikmen and Stauback SP?...Those guys won big games and superbowls. Not saying that Romo is not good but when you play in the shadow of guys like that you have alot to live up to.

Drew Brees is talked about right now because he has taken a team with no tradition and is slowly making them one of if not the best in the NFL. Romo is on a team with a already established tradition. He will have to do more than that...Is it fair no. But its part of being on Americas team.

How can what you say be all true? Everyone says that the established tradition for Dallas is to underachieve and not make or win playoffs. I agree Aikman and Staubach are both great icons for Dallas. Romo is doing his part and the rest will fall in place as time goes. The team is doing well and will win.

Im not really sure i understand lol. Are you agreeing with me? Or was that mocking my comment lol.

I was agreeing with your comment about Troy and Roger being our standards for a great QB. But, there were several years with each of those two where it was expected that Dallas win because of the players surrounding them.

Tony's position among these players will be determined over time. My point about the established tradition of both teams was that to hear everyone talk, Dallas is expected to lose based on the last 13 years. I don't follow that belief because too many changes take place year to year. So I would disagree with your statement based on that. Romo came to a team searching for identity. No stable system or QB in place. Or coach for that matter. You just can't change coaches and so many players so often and expect a winner. You have to establish consistency with all of it. At this level there is so little room for mistakes.

I will agree that Brees is a great addition for N.O.. He did well at San Diego as well. When I watch N.O. play I notice the similarity of their style and play to the Cowboys. I'm sure some of it is because of all the connections they have to Dallas with coaches and players that were here. Bear in mind that the New England game was their first real test this season. They passed with flying colors.

I am however looking forward to Dec. 19 when we play them.

No this time I was not mocking or being facetious with you.
WETSU
^^^ I can live with that. I think NO is better than you give them dredit for though. This is the same team that killed a Giants team that the cowboys lost too. The saints have playede just as tough of schedule as anyone can ask IMO. The NFC south is not as strong as the NFC East but they still have shown me enough to get my respect, and support. I hope they have 1-2 losses on the season. One on Dec 19th and one in the playoffs if the meet the cowboys. Other than that i want them to run the table and win it all. And beat whoever they play from the AFC by 40 lol

Monday Nights game there was a real statement made by Brees and The Saints. Dallas better come to New Orleans with their A game or they'll leave looking worse than the Pats.

The Saints are FOR REAL, no question about it! I think all the questions about their defensive problems have been somewhat answered! i mean they might not play as good as they did against NE but their defense has improved dramatically!!

I've already said that I like N. O. but ..... like all the so-called fans say about Dallas. How can they be that good if they squeak by Washington in OT? They played from behind the whole game. Washington lost that game. N. O. did not win that one.

How could Dallas lose in New York in December ??? The Saints kept there heads down, and kept on marching and won in overtime. A win is a win, the Aints are in the playoffs. It doesn't matter how you win. I wish my Cowboys could be saying the same.

Interesting that you would say "A win is a win..... It doesn't matter how you win." some people on SDC don't see it that way. It has to be a certain way. I agree a win is a win. Any win, no matter if it was the defense that steps up or offense. Dallas just needs the wins. Of course we all want them to dominate both sides of the ball. Winning teams usually find a way to win. So far Dallas has found a way to win 8 out of 12. Should be some exciting games coming up for Dallas.

For Dallas to win against San Diego or N. O. I believe they still need to force the run first and compliment with the pass. Our defense has played well for the most part. They have just given up some very crucial drives in some losses this season. Twice against new york, Dallas had control of the game and give up critical drives for scores. Defense needs to buckle down in crunch time more.

Also the special teams play is going to very key for us in the upcoming games.
