I wonder what it will take to get USC out of the top 20...they looked like a bottom 10 team yesterday and I enjoyed every second of it.....
It's nice to see TCU and Boise State in the top 10....I wonder if Boise has had any takers on their offer to play any BCS team, anywhere, without a return engagement to Boise???

After OU played them in the Fiesta Fiasco, OU offered them a 2 for 1 and they declined.

hey, why are u worried about USC. They are awful. Everyone knows. U
sound like a Texas fan that is holding a grudge or some reason. If
anything u should be happy that tcu didn't jump u because
tcu is the only team out of the top 4 that has beaten 3 current top 25 teams. And they blew them all out. And one of them could very well become the acc champion.

Tribesman, what would a UT fan have to hold a grudge against USC for? UT fans don't have any grudge against USC. We beat you for the national championship a few years back. TCU is awesome, but I don't think a non-BCS school will jump a BCS school if said BCS school is undefeated. Jerry Palm agrees with that logic as well, so I feel pretty comfortable about TCU not jumping UT so long as UT stays undefeated.

It's that even now I see rednecks wearing their 2005 national title shirts amd it seems like they are still printing them to this day and I still think they are living in the past and whenever I say I'm a USC fan the first thng out of ut fans mouths is "y'all ####! They say it's the past but then I think that the nc 5 years ago is in the past. Then they mentionhow we lose to bad teams then I mention a&m and k state and then they go back to the. We still beat y'all then I tell them the winoss record is 4-1in favor of USC head to head and then they tell me I'm dumb. They have nothing of importance to argue. Anywhere I go and I see burnt orange, 65% of the people wearing it probably don't have a high school education and are the trashiest people I've seen and have the worst grammar I've heard. Not all Texas fans are like this so let's get in clear. Texas is an amazing university. Bit the people that cheer for them are pathetic. That's where I get my hatred.

That's about the most absurd post I've ever seen. 65% of Texas fans don't have an education & are trash and the inference is I guess that 99% of USC fans are PHDs and the upper crust. How come California is bankrupt & Texas economy is doing well?

I'm talking more about when Texas fans use the owed ain't like it's going out of style. Also when they use double negatives. But that's fine Texas fans, be as critical as you want. Next year will be different for y'all. The longhorn schedule will be easier but I promise you won't go undefeated. It's also just funny that you all believe y'all are the best yet you haven't played an above average team all year. I don't consider Oklahoma state above average since they lost dez Bryant and that Kendall hunter was out as well in the game.

My post had nothing to do with starting a sentence with and; that is perfectly fine in the literature and forum world today. It was the rest of your post. See, if you are going to badmouth and trash talk someone, you should at least be acceptable in the area you are badmouthing and trash talking about. You said a majority of UT fans have the worst grammar you've ever "heard." Yet your grammar is terrible. Go to bed now because you need to get up early and head into tutorials with your ELA teacher. (Check this out.)
And why are you talking about next year? Don't be such a crybaby because USC has three losses. They were over-rated in the early polls this year. They'll get better as some of their players gain experience. (I'm going to do it again.)
And you are most likely correct that UT will not go undefeated next year. They will be breaking in a new QB much like USC is doing this year. Make no mistake though my young TAKS under achiever, USC is not losing because of their offense; their defense has been stinking it up at times this year!!! Thanks for playing, and study up for the "editing" portion of your TAKS test - you are going to need it.

What year did you graduate from USC? My diploma from UT is 1977.
I suspect 85% of the folks wearing USC gear have not graduated from college. Every successful school has them. I have to admit when I see a North Texas t-shirt, I assume they attended college or have a relative at school there.
Now are you one of those pathetic Horn haters with an upside down horn in your rear window. If there is one thing worse than a t-shirt fan, it is a t-shirt hater.

Just curious, but did you attend USC? What years? What did you get your degree in? USC fans are the MOST OBNOXIOUS people on earth. Wait, I will amend that, USC is the most obnoxious place on earth. I absolutely HATE USC. I am from Southern California. I would take UT and it's fans ANY DAY over an SC fan or team. I really think that outside the media, Hollywood and their own graduates, most everyone in this country hates SC.
That said, USC, at this point in the season, with their record, does not deserve to be in the top 25. They stayed in the top 10 for about 7 weeks too long! It is ridiculous that anyone can consider their overall schedule tough. It is not tough, especially when compared to UT, AL, and FL.

I pose the same question to you - who has LSU beat?
A team can only play the schedule that they have in front of them. OU has been ranked as high as #3, OSU has been ranked as high #5, Kansas in the Top 15 as well as Missouri. Looks like Texas might play Nebraska in the BIG XII Championship. Nebraska has been in and out of the Top 25. The non-conference schedule is weak this year - partly because Arkansas dropping UT from their schedule and begging to be re-scheduled in 2014. They didn't want to play UT and A&M in the same year.
Bottomline is a team can only control themselves. The BIG XII is not as strong this year as it has been in the past, but the same thing can be said of the SEC. Mississippi, Georgia, South Carolina, Auburn and even Tennessee have not played up to the level as most thought prior to the season.

Personally I don't dislike USC or Pete Carroll. He is a great coach for a great program - just like Mack Brown and Texas. I know I'm in the minority though. Now the coach at UCLA, I put him in the select class of Barry Switzer and Jackie Sherrill - that is low class.

The definition of a t-shirt fan is one who is a fan of a school that they never attended, nor have any ties to at all (ie: family members who attended) You have constantly derided UT t-shirt fans in most of your posts, and here you are, exactly as they are. Gonna get political here--but you must be a liberal to even want to go to UNLV and then USC when there are very good universities to attend right here in Texas. JMHO.

Not all Texas fans are like this so let's get in clear. Texas is an amazing university. Bit the people that cheer for them are pathetic. That's where I get my hatred.
All of the "we's" and "us's" lead me to believe that you were part of the USC program.... So tell me what postion you played and when you were there? Maybe you were a trainer? Maybe you were just a student during the glory years.... Fill me in on when you contributed? The truth is you probably have never even been to LA - if you had, you probably wouldn't be such a fan. I'm telling you, USC is quite possibly the snobbiest place in the US. Until you have been there and experienced the "better than you" attitude 95% of students/alumni have you really can't even imagine how unbelievably arrogant they are.... Maybe you are a "soap dropper" I don't know....

I only wish that Stanford would have converted on that 2 point conversion at the end....Like Woody Hayes said when asked why he went for 2 against Michigan when he was winning 36 to 0, "Because they I couldn't go for 3".......

You talk about my grammar... It's just a joke. Don't talk about English to me.
Anyways back to the task at hand. Well by definition I'm a tshirt fan. I'm moving because I don't want to be in east Texas
anymore. In my life I didn't expect to stay here after I graduated and yet I did because I was lazy and didn't do anything about it. Now I'm trying to do what I had set out for in my life. There is nothig wrong with east Texas. It's beautiful and I will
probably come back to raise a family here. I want to graduate from a prestigious school and USC has always caught my eye. Just as I'm sure ut caught so many of yalls eyes. As for the we's and us's. I'm sorry that I say that but I'm sure you've also said we or us before. It's out of habit. At least I say we and us not only when we are winning I say it no matter what. I stick behind my team even when we are having a bad season.

wow! that is just about the cost of a 4 year degree at UT, right? and that is for one year? and USC is no more prestigious than UT, probably less so. (UT is considered the Harvard of the south and west for it's rigorous academics) and no, I am most certainly NOT a UT fan (as evidenced by my TT at the left!)

It's just money. Why is everyone trying to tell me how bad it is.

Texas will run you the mid $22k a year.
formertribesman - just making sure you don't play while in Vegas, if you are going to keep your eye on your dream - dating a sweater girl at USC.

It's just money? $55,000 a year is more than "just money". That's 2 years salary for some people. It's good to know that you're more wealthy than Bo Pilgrim. Enjoy your stint in the west. I hope everything goes well for you.
