If you get a chance to see the Fairfield 8th grade girls team, do it. They went undefeated last year, winning by an average of about 35 a game. Started off this year with a 65 - 10 win over Palestine. Starters only played half the game.

Whitehouse 8th grade team should be better than last year when they went 17-0. They all played select ball over the summer and look like they all improved their game over the summer. They start the season Monday the 23rd against Lufkin. Last year they averaged 56 points a game while only allowing an average of 22 points by their opponents (usually shutdown the pressure defense in the second half). These boys have been together for a few years and are 23-0 in last two years (Little Dribblers in 6th grade and 7th).

Jacksonville should have a good 8th grade team this year. They gave Whitehouse a run for their money in a couple of games last year. Whitehouse only beat them by one point (37-36) in the district championship game last year.

the Overton 7th Grade Girls team is undefeated. They play Beckville next at Home at 4:00.

Brookhill B team (6th and 7th graders) looks pretty good 2-0 beat Tatum and Rains. Could be a good year.

Beat Gorman......now 3-0

Denton Harpool 8th grade went undefeated last year. They have started the season this year 5-0. The scores have been 63-13, 63-11, 66-13, 67-17, 75-17 and 74-19.

That coach should be proud of himself or herself.

Whitehouse 8th grade is 8-0 so far this season. They won the Whitehouse and Hallsville Tournaments. They played Jacksonville in the championship game in Hallsville and Whitehouse won by 1 point, very good game. Jacksonville has a lot of talent on their team and the two teams will face each other at least 2 more times this season.

Whitehouse played Mt. Pleasant in the semifinal game in Hallsville and they have a pretty good looking team also. I think MP only loses have been to Texas High and Whitehouse.

Don't know what's happened to Ore City's 8th grade team.....won every game last year and can't seem to win a single game this year. Hate to badmouth a coach, but their coach WOULD NOT open his mouth. He looked like he either didn't want to be there or didn't have a clue or maybe both.

They are. They don't run the score up and have never been accused of it. We have seen them a few times and you see they don't run the score up. The last game they didn't score in the 4th quarter. They ran their offense but no shooting allowed.

Heard they played in a select tournament this weekend but don't know how they did.

We had the Whitehouse 8th Grade team in a Prime Time select tournament in Carrollton over the weekend. What team name did the Denton team use in the tournament? We may have played them or seen them play. There were some good teams at the tournament.

If you want to watch a unreal jr high team go down to grapeland. Grapeland 8th grade team it unreal. They have not lost a game in jr high yet. They have two boys on there team that will be starters on varsity next year

Talked to a buddy and he said they were called Lethal Leopards. He said they got uniforms rejects on the cheap so they went with that team name. Supposedly they lost in the championship game 54-48. He said it was their only loss.

How did Whitehouse do?

Whitehouse lost in the Blue division championship game to the Running Bulls by 6 or 8 points. The Lethal Leopards were in the Red Division so Whitehouse did not get a chance to play them. The winner of each division played for the Grand Championship, but we did not stay to watch it. We did get to watch them play and they do have a really good team. We plan on going to more PrimeTime tournaments this year so maybe they will meet up some time. I would be a really good game.

Do you happen to know who won the Grand Championship game? The PrimeTime website does not have the results posted yet and we did not get to see the final game.

He said they were the Running somethings. He said Harpool lost in the grand championship to them. He said they will be playing in Frisco in 2 weeks.

Thanks for the info. That was the same team that beat Whitehouse by 8 points. I am not sure when Whitehouse will be playing in another tournament in Dallas, probably not until district games are over, but maybe they will get a chance to play them some time. Whitehouse registars for the tournaments under the team name of Wildcats.

The Whitehouse 8th grade boys basketball team went 15-1 and won the district title. They finished there Junior High careers with a 31-1 record and back to back district championships. How did the Denton team finish up?
