UT better win, I really don't want them embarrasing the BIG 12 by losing to a team like Kansas. Kansas is not awful, but they are not very good either.
I say UT wins big in this one.

Texas Wins, but Reesing, Briscoe and Meier have enough talent to give UT's defense some trouble. Texas needs to come out and have a good first half though. Kansas has absolutely nothing to lose, and that can make them dangerous with the players they do have.

If Texas doesn't score 40+ points, I will be dissapointed.
Kansas started off pretty good this year, but lost a few later on. They are not a bad team, but I don't think they can hang with Texas at home.

If there is an upset for Texas it will be in College Station. It has happened before, and I think this is the game the horns fear the most.

Texas needs to be careful not to relax and let their guard down. Kansas and A&M would love to ruin their season.

Whats crazy about it...? Its not like A&M hasnt beat Texas in 20 years or something...They won 2 out of the last 3. I dont think A&M will upset Texas but i will say that if they do its not going to be the biggest upset in history...A&M is very young so they play very inconsistant. But the inconsistant rivals can be dangerous...You never know who will show up... Especialy at home.

Kansas has some playmakers on offense if they can pull it together...and their quarterback Todd Reesing is from Austin so I'm sure he will want to crash the Longhorns party in his home town.
I think this game will be closer than most people expect but the Longhorns will still get the win...

While I agree with you in the fact that A&M could easily upset UT, especially at Kyle Field, it is getting old hearing the "we are young" excuse from some Aggies. Per you own official website, there are 8 returning starters on offense and 7 returning starters on defense. That's almost 75%. Pretty good if you ask me.

I just don't think so. The KU team is on a major losing streak, and the players are about to start a mutiny against Mangino. I don't think the Jayhawks will even be able to keep this game respectable.

But only 4 starters are seniors...Sherman played a crazy young team last season as well as this season. A&M has only 7 players that are Redshirt sophmores or older that are starters. They are very young. Many true freshman and sophmore starters.

So we have two more years of excellence to look forward to from Sherman?
The Texas team was a play away from playing for the national championship last year. The Texas players remember their anger at being the odd man out. Like Vince Young, the 2009 Texas team is going to will itself into the national championship game.

No he will not have just two years of excellence...I dont know why you think A&M is a scrub and the Horns are the only team worthy of playing the game. This time 15 years ago Texas couldnt buy a win in college station... It comes in cycles. Sherman is going to be ok, and the Aggies will work their way back to being contenders. Texas will has not always been the best team in Texas and will not from here on out. They will have down years just like everyone else. If i recall two and three years ago when Colt was a freshman and sophmore Texas fans played the "Young team" card when they were 9-3 type seasons and not sniffing the big 12. Is A&M in the same boat as them no, but with a second year coach you cannot expect them to beat teams like OU and Texas and OSU when these teams are all very mature and have had years in the same system. Give Sherman 2 more years and if he is still getting manhandled then i will eat the crow. I think next season he goes 8-4. Then uphill from there. The recruits are there...He is taking Freshman and sophmores from the class he already has and is making them very good players... Wait until he can get a solid oline in there and i think you will see a different team in the next 2 years.

Key for Texas against Kansas is to start fast and rest the starters.

Not so sure. Seems to me that the recovery factor will be the same for both teams. Your "key" is right on though...start fast, secure the win, play the subs.
