What is schools turned in what numbers? This year they are not counting the incoming 9th graders from what I've heard. Joaquin turned in around 185. 75 in 8th grade went uncounted.

75 in the 8th grade? That is more than Troup has in most grades and they are 2A.

might as well get ready--------- may have class a schools next 2 years playing with 240-260 in high school because of large 8th grade classes moving up next year----for example Spit Shine has 195 in high school now, graduates 35 but gains 80, that makes next years numbers 240, sound familiar to some?

I don't think those numbers are correct. Joaquin has never had any one grade with that many students.

Jefferson will be moved to 2A with a high school enrollment as of Nov.1, 2005 of 381 1/2.

I think MV went up by 5 a whopping 463

Alba Golden turned in a number of 188, graduating 43 and bringing up 75 eight graders , the next year graduating 52 and bringing up 72 eight graders. 255 265 next 2 years and still will have a hard time competing unless a new Football Coach is hired.

Just wanted to set the record straight. The UIL uses a formula to come up with an AVERAGE enrollment.

Step one- take the current enrollment on one specific day picked out by the UIL (no one knows in advance when this day is, but it is always in October)

Step two - subtract the number of current seniors then multiply by 1.35(I could be wrong on the multiplier)

Step three - get the average of the current enrollment(step one) and the new enrollment(step two). This gives you the Average Daily Enrollment. Also explains why some schools turn in a number with .5.
