i think Lindale and Chapel Hill are going to 4A but im not sure...does anyone know for sure. Dont take what i said to heart because im not positive. Just my opinion and i want to know if it is going to happen. Thank you

I have heard there was also a chance of Kerens dropping. I think they turned in 198 or so.

I heard that UIL will be breaking up district 17-4A. New district would be: Jacksonville, Kilgore, Henderson, Whitehouse, Athens, and John Tyler.

The last numbers that I saw for Kilgore were around 1050. They were actually about 3 students larger than Henderson. So I doubt Kilgore will move down.

I've heard Daingerfield is very close to moving down to 2A

Heard that Lindale was definitely going up Kilgore might be going down alto going down maybe Dfield going down Newton maybe going back up

Your speculations are humorous. The numbers just got turned in and the uil will have to sift over them. You can guess and people tell you but in reality the uil keeps it close to themselves until it is time to release. JT has had 4-a numbers before and always opted up.

Lindale might head to 4A, but that's a big "if" because the 3A cut-off might be lowered. Carthage and Chapel Hill are remaining 3A, and Kilgore ain't dropping. I don't think there will be major changes at all. Whenever Lindale moves up, it will be the last time they ever see 3A again. That area's growth is about to finally catch up.

Celina WILL go to 3A b/c they turned in 429. The 3A numbers started at 325 last year. They are going up.

Denton Ryan is going down to 4A. They turned in 1863. 1925 was the 5A number last year.

Celina, Prosper, Argyle, possibly Aubrey are almost locks to go 3A next season, and I wouldn't be surprised to see any of those teams jump up to 4A in about 8-10 years.

why waste time with all these thoughts. every couple years there are too many wild speculations that teams are moving...few will. the numbers aren't out and won't be anytime soon. I do not believe the UIL has had time to get this all figured out...there's no freakin' source. pure speculation...teams like JT and Daingerfield aren't going down...otherwise, why not have Texas High, Nac, Marshall, and PT go back into 5A to renew the old district. schools like Celina and the others mentioned in that area may go up...not because of anything aside from a boom in growth (DFW is growing)...if these other areas aren't growing or losing businesses (jobs) then there won't be anything radical happen.

Aubrey will probably stay dow as will Little Elm but, both of them will be prime to jump up in 2 years.

rumor has it J-ville high school is splitting up. One school will have 100 students and pass taks. The rest will fail taks and the football team will transfer to the 1a school and dominate.

I think Kilgore will drop down to 3A or move up to 5A, we have not decided yet.

I know that makes NO sense but neither do any of the rest of the posts here since it is all speculation. I doubt that any one on here has any inside info.

That's exactly the point of this thread. Realignment is no fun until Feb. 2nd unless we get on message boards, speculate about what numbers have been turned in, and how the districts will split up once the conferences are figured out.

This is probably just your typical rumor, but overheard talk of Harleton and Big Sandy going back up to 2A while Jefferson and Daingerfield dropping to 2A. Is it possible that Jefferson and Harleton could end up in the same district!?

If 17-4a is split up, where would nac and marshall go? I guess nac could go south, but that would mean district oppenents would be really far away. Marshall could go into Texas High's district maybe. Who knows.....

Of all the speculation and grand predictions from all the guru's and crystal ballers does anyone know who actually came pretty close in guessing from the last realignment a couple of years ago?

My prediction is that the 2A range will be from 225-400 ish. That might mean that a lot of smaller 3A teams will drop, including possibly White Oak, Jefferson and Daingerfield. That also means that a bunch of the bigger 1A's will become middle range 1A's.

I heard that all you, c spirit and the rest of Carthage wanted for Christmas. Do you think Carthage will play Tatum if they move down?

I heard Harmony turned in over 523 for their attendance...their going up to 3A.

i heard atlanta will be moving down next year to 2A. the only difference from this year to next is we will be ranked #1 in the state instead of #5 and still not make the playoffs. nice job

bad thing is their admin has some problems with numbers...it was to be 325...oh well...
