who were the biggest 1st week busts (points wise)?

here a a few:

c. williams
j. delhomme
bucs D
cowboys D
Shaun Alexander
Carson Palmer
CNOrtega
Chad Johnson and Reuben Droughns absolutely killed my main fantasy team (I have 4 teams altogether) with their week 1 failures.
clawsnstripes
biggest busts would have to go to alexander(top 3 pick) and palmer (top 3 qb). palmer killed me

Reuben Droughns could very well kill you every week. He scored twice last year and is consistently mediocre. Chad Johnson ... now that is another story.

All you'd have to do to look at week one busts is to look at my entire team -- and it's in a $100 buy-in league. So I'm really happy today (sarcastic).

Marc Bulger
Cadillac Williams
Marion Barber
Reggie Wayne
Torry Holt
Santana Moss
Josh Brown
Seattle Defense

We played a guy with Jeff Wilkins (St. Louis kicker) and he scored more points than Bulger and Holt combined. Moss hasn't played yet, but as of right now, not a single player on the team accounted for a touchdown this weekend.
CNOrtega
Sounds like that was $100 well spent.

Man who in the world on that team is worth a 1st round pick? You wasted your money bud....
Baron
Joey Galloway, zero catches. He cost me a loss. also Alexander and Culpepper.

Mantle - When you told me who you had, I didn't have the heart to tell you that you had given your money away on that league, you just don't have the right pieces sorry man. This doesn't mean your not a good guy or sports writer, keep your chin up.innocent.gif

The best part about Fantasy Football -- trading.

We've got the best trio of receivers in our league, but Cadillac sputtering (forgive the pun) has not helped at all, and so far, the Rams offense has not been the Greatest Show on Turf. The main thing with our league is it's a keeper league, so guys like L.T., Shaun Alexander, Larry Johnson, etc. are already gone.

Don't make me come hurt ya' Bullardite ... I know your weaknesses.

And the trading block prevailed, and we rolled up a lot of points this week to get our first win ... 1-2 now, but have a much better team.

Now our lineup looks like this:

QB: Marc Bulger, St. Louis
RB: Willie Parker, Pittsburgh
RB: DeShaun Foster, Carolina
WR: Torry Holt, St. Louis
WR: Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona
WR: Troy Williamson, Minnesota
K: Josh Brown, Seattle
DEF: Seattle

Willie P. got us 31 points in our league on Sunday, the best production out of a running back except for Brian Westbrook (43 points!). We feel much more comfortable and have been able to solidify our bench. It's a real deep league and wins are very valuable. It just stinks that Parker's off this week.
