Texarkana Gazette reported on 10/22/06 that Texas High's Boys went 75-0 in singles matches this fall in team tennis. That is a pretty amazing record.

I know they lost a couple of doubles matches, but not many.

I'm excited to see what the Texas High guys come up with this spring. They've already lost a top 4 player (Smith) but hopefully the loss won't damage the depth of the team. A JV player who played lower varsity last year moved up when Smith left. I'm curious to see what Andy plays, I'm almost positive that Daniel is playing singles and he should do well as always (him and Andy have been battling back and forth for #1 spot on the team all year). I know Lewis and Allen will play dubs together and with a lot of time and team effort they really have some potential. I havn't yet heard what the rest of the guys are playing. I'm curious to find out.

What Andy and Daniel play depends on what HP and McKinney North play. If McKinney North and HP's #1 and 2 play doubles, then Andy and Daniel will play singles. Look for watson to give them some playing time at both singles and doubles

yeah they are since HP's best are playing singles

i think texas high is a bit over rated...i played there two doubles team...and were our two team from whitehouse...and we held our ground pretty well...every game was either 40 30 or duece they came up with bigger points seeing htat it was no add...but i think texas high is beatable...yes andy and dan are very very very very good at singles...not over rated at all...i cant take that away from them at all!!!! good job andy and dan yall are great players and the best of luck to yall!

dont forget that THS had 2 guys move schools this year ( both were #3 when they left) and have played a JV kid in 2 of their tournaments this spring. depending on when you played our 2 team, coonerjelly7,you could have been playing the #4 guy on JV

The Texas High 2 dubs team had hardly played together at all during the spring season...and at the time were still trying to adjust and decide who would play which side( duece or ad). Since they have settled down and performed very well.
