In your opinion, which heavyweight stands out in your mind as the best you ever saw.

Mine would have to be Foreman-Frazier. Cosell made this fight a great one with his ringside commentary.

Down goes Frazier! Down goes Frazier! Down goes Frazier!

Howard was the heart and soul of boxing.............................

Moorer v. Foreman

That was a knockout for the ages and it came from out of nowhere. I love that kind of stuff.

Ali vs. Foreman is the greatest heavyweight fight ever, followed closely by Ali vs. Frazier III "The Thrilla in Manilla".

There are really two that stick in my mind. I rember as a kids watching Larry Holmes destroy Micheal Spinks only to have the title taken away by the judges. He had Spinks spitting blood in the corner between rounds. I also think you have to put Tyson-Douglas in there. On that night, a 50-1 underdog fought as though he was a top ten heavy weight of all time. You just can't beat something like that.

I have fond memories of "The Thrilla In Manilla" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkOQW-Y-PYA

Foreman and Ali from Zaire was my favorite because I watched it on a closed-circuit broadcast as it was happening.

But the Cosell rant ........"And down goes Frazya" is the best call to me.

Yes he was. I'm sitting here watching the Olympic boxing and wishing that Howard was calling the matches......
