PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- He was trying to win THE PLAYERS Championship.
Not finish second.
I could come up with 750,00 reasons why second would be just fine with me. (Being that he was 2 strokes down at the time)

I couldn't believe he pulled a 9 iron there at 17. Just to much club.

Why fire at the flag in the first place? He could have made a long birdie putt. Par would have been the worst........................

He was two back with two to play and Phil already on the 17th green. He was in a situation where he needed to play aggressively.

So, odds were, he wasn't going to make back-to-back birdies. Single digit amount of birdies made on 18th. If the odds are against you winning, play for the big paycheck, then all is not lost. There's always next year to win.........
Then again, I wasn't wearing his shoes. The competitive fire was burning and I fully understand his thinking. Maybe I'm just too conservative......................

IF your not first YOUR LAST. lol just kidding guys.. Sean had to go right at the stick, but just had too much club. He had his back against the wall and had to fight back, i understand him going right at it, a winner doesnt play for second place. But this time it bit him on the but and he droped a few positions.
