Just curious to see if anyone from 3A ever gets on these forums. Seems like everyone is from 4A! If your from a 3A school, post where your from and the results of your most recent team match. (If your school plays team that is) Thanks.

Does Van still have kids play team tennis? At one time, they did. I know their spring (regular) tennis usually sends a few players to the state meet.

They do. Although theyve shown up this fall with some good wins, they are not as strong as last year as a team. They lost a few top boys and their top girl. Their boys are still pretty strong and deep, however their girls are lacking. They do pretty well in the region though and usually send a few on to state.

We beat Van , Gladewater, Mt. Pleasant, and Longview. We lost to Wills Point who is pretty talented this year. We lost like 10-4, and not one of our girls won a match, doubles or singles, so maybe it'll be better in the spring.



So we were 4-1 in team this fall.

We may go to state, just depends on if they take 2 or 3 teams, and how much we improve when we start actually practicing.

I don't know how good Kaufman or Pleasant Grove is, only two other teams well be worried about at regional Team.

I'm not real sure what Kaufman looks like this year either. Apparently Wills Point beat them once already this fall and then the last time they played Kaufman won it. And I don't even know if it was with a full team on both sides or what. The same day that Wills Point beat Kaufman, Van also beat Kaufman.

September 1:
Wills Point 13, Kaufman 6
Van 11, Kaufman 8

September 18:
Kaufman 13, Wills Point 6

I know this tells you nothing about Kaufman. And I don't have any impressive stats for PG this fall because we havn't played too many teams to brag about. We don't play too many fall duals outside of the texarkana area because half of our girls team plays other sports in the fall, and our top guys are in band. With a full girls team, though, we should be able to pick just about every win on that side of the line up at regional team, even against Wills Point. We only graduated our 5 and 8 girls players last year, and the only team we ever struggled to beat their girls had been Spring Hill. Since yall graduated Ash, Mel and Karlee (all at the top), should make it interesting.

I'm ready for regional team though. And I sure hope we send 3 to state instead of 2..

Ya, I remember PG's girls being good. Yall should dominate the girls side of Regional Team. Ya, we graduated Mel, Ash, Karlee, and Kailey. We graduated like 5 of our 8 girls .

Thankfully our guys are older, and were picking up the slack. Were hoping to go to state, but who knows?
