ahhm.... the long and much overdue response to this post has now been made possible due to my suspension being done (i said sumfin a little vulgar about a certain Rice MOB) and i would like to thank the admin of smoaky.com for giving me time to seriously think about my actions....
Anyway...
I do, infact, believe our band IS that entertaining. At least according to the Tatum fans (God bless you all) who did, infact give us, the away band, a complete, full crowd, standing ovation. So that brings me to my next point, which it being the fact that you competed against div-2&3 bands at region and area (and won by default) and were beaten by Carlisle by three places At state
No offense to the TenahaBand because I really like most of the members within, and i did find the halftime show entertaining, for I was laughing so hard, my kidneys started to hurt. And also it was good to know that some of yall found my comment (which was also repealed) about b/t Carlisle and Tenaha, which was the better band to be of the humorous nature. BUT hey... everyone's entitled to their own opinion. Mine merely got me suspended from Smoaky.

Blackandgoldbloke and I are both in the Timpson High School Band, and I have to agree with him, we are a lot better than your little Tenaha Band.

That was really great, congratulations, and to tmac9211 who are you a calling little band? I believe Tenaha has a bigger band than Timpson this year and from what I've heard they are expected to get bigger and better.

sir...compete against queen city(last years 3a champ), newboston(last years (2a champ), union grove, and thier likes and we'll see about the rest. Those are real bands...not div II and III.

You are an idiot and you can't spell. Tenaha is a 1A band; not a 2A. However, if you will wait until the fall of 2009, you'll find out who the best band is when both can compete against each other at the Area Contest. A week later, the state contest. Then you can "pop off"; otherwise hush!

Sir, I would like to first know what it is that i can not spell so i may correct it... Secondly, it was your compadre who first compared the success of Teneha's Band against Timpson's so i decided to humor him/her by informing the said person as to the competition we were up against. Perhaps you should consult you friend about this descrepancy.

Nowhere in the previous arguement did i deflate the success of Teneha's Band Program. I infact believe it to be quite wonderful that such a young program can be as successful as Teneha's. However, I would put any of our state solo and enemble players against any of your programs. Learn "Blue Bells of Scotland", "Adagio and Gigue", Hayden's "Concerto", and Arban's "Carnival of Venice". Then come back to talk to me.
And Lastly,
I am warning for the final time that one should consider the names he/she calls someone or otherwise one may find themselves reported to the staff.

It appears that i possibly cant spell ten{A}ha.. however... you misspelled concerto (said concherto) also "Blue Bells of Scotland" is an extremely hard class I solo for trombone . Secondly, i was not the one who first insinuated that the competition is infact a comparison of bands but the conversation was based on the fact that once one is advanced from the region level, they are placed when they compete on the area and state level AGAINST other bands. So infact I am in the right. You are correct in saying that marching contest it is a band competing against a set standard (or the opinion of the judge), but only on the region level.

=) You said that Timpson would beat us(Ten{A}ha) when they moved down classification and compete against us at area in 2009.. We kinda already proved you wrong by Ten{A}ha Getting a 1-1-1 at region and Timpson getting a 1-1-2 & When Timpson come to the Cleveland Contest a week before region and got 3-3-3 and Tenaha once again won BEST IN CLASS A recieveing 1-1-1!
