List tournament results if you know them

Center recently matched up against Kilgore in a clash of 3A vz. 4A tennis powerhouses. Unfortunatly center had to give the bulldogs a whoping, they took it pretty hard with cornbread having the upper hand on the gavinator for the first set and a half. But gavin prevailed as he always does. However jeremy ruined his perfect season in his first match having lost in close 13-11 3rd set tiebreaker with King Leonidas. Clay samuels won his number 3 match respectively, having destroyed sheldon, due to a terrible racquet crack on sheldons part. No one payed attention to justin clark in his no. 4 match but he came away victorious, he is good at giving beatings. On the other side of center, yalls number 1 girl is hoss. She gave our girls a spanking in singles, i don't know what happened in doubles though.
By the way im totally kidding. Everyone on this site is sooo serious and just trying to break the mold and have some fun.

Since you mentioned this match, the score might as well be posted. If you do the "official" count, it was 10-9 Center, but Kilgore had more overall wins 13-11. Kilgore played their doubles like they are in the spring instead of by ladder, so they had some of their top players in mixed and they just put their singles players together to make doubles teams. That's why the doubles didn't look quite right. It was a great match though, except for the freezing weather.

Yes you are wrong....All Saints got 1st and Center got 2nd....you could tell this by Noble's "good sportsmanship" of throwing his racquet into the fence on the last point thumbdown.gif

Ahh, I see, thanks for correcting me. I didn't stay to see who won this I was just assuming! thumbsup.gif

Come on 'The Coach' the chic was wrong with the score. Thats no need to get all uptight just because Center lost a match, everyone loses. They were a very good doubles team, probably the best we've played all year.

Ya All Saints did beat Center, but I was with you, I was just as shocked that Gavin and Noble lost..

We played the All Saints kids in the Semi's and were up 5-2 AD-in and choked. We choked the rest of the match away somehow.

But that Center lost really surprised me.

PG's single's girl was impressive by the way..

Well thanks....and I can completely sympathize with your choking at 5-2...i played a supers tournament this weekend and was up 5-2 in a THIRD SET and choked...ended up losing in a tiebreak 6-7. 3 1/2 hour match right there....maybe I should get in better shape. haha. And even better, that was only one of two 3 set, 3+ hour matches I played at that tournament.

And by the way....congrats on lucking out with the 1 seed for team tennis thumbsup.gif we have Van second round...should be interesting, considering our girls are great and their guys are great. We know the mixed match will be key so we're gonna take the chance with it cool.gif win or lose, it will be fun! I'm excited about it.
ThePackKid
Haha no problem.

Ya the 1 seed will help, we play the winner of Crandall/Gladewater for our first match. We get a bye for the first round.

We beat Gladewater 19-4 in the fall though, so we should be able to put that away.

We play Wills Point in the Semi's if we beat G ToWn.

Will be a tough match.

We beat Van, you guys can too. Goodluck.

Well the Van match ended up being retarded because it started raining during my singles match with Natalie which I really wanted to finish to give our team another point. In fact, a lot of the matches that were on when it started raining, we were up in, but I think Van was already up 7-3 or 8-3 so they just called it a win for them since it was so late. The match was a lot closer than the reported score though. (And I played mixed in this match haha, but Natalie was playing with their #5 guy which I thought was odd, was this just a one time thing or a permenant? They weren't near as good as what Van has produced in mixed doubles before. Me and our #3 guy lost 8-4 but still...this didn't seem right. Seems like they would put Natalie with a better guy. She's a great dubs player and needs a great partner.)

Anyways but we ended up getting an easy 5th place after that beating both Lovejoy and Athens.

As far as I know, Van played Wills Point in the finals this morning, therefore yall would have played Kaufman for 3rd. Let me know how that goes! I know Kaufman is pretty solid all the way down their line up so they'll be tough to beat. I'm still not seeing how Van beat them, but it happens. It looked to me as if Van had their boys stacked, but my word is no good, I don't know that for sure.

Speaking of Lovejoy, their #1 guy, who's a freshman named Price Smith, was impressive. Apparently he's a Superchamp in the 16s and handled Kaufman's top guy yesterday pretty easily.
Bulldogtennis
Tyler Lee Tourney-after rain, delays, and a lot of people that didn't come back on Saturday, here are the results I saw.

Boys singles
Either Ben Wallace (AS) or a guy from Beaumont Westbrook won it.

Girls singles
CC Coehlo won it over one of her team mates. The semi final between CC and Brittany Trich was really the best match. Haley Smith scratched and didn't come back Saturday.

Girls Doubles
This one was also Lindale vs. Lindale

Boys Doubles
Patrick/Vader(Lindale) def Tyler Lee

Mixed Doubles
Ballenger/Fernandez of Nac def Evans/Namanny of Lindale
ThePackKid
We lost to Will's Point like 10-9 in the Semi's, then beat Kaufman 11-6 (13-6) for 3rd.

We had two people still on the court both up a set but we just pulled them off after our 10th and 11th finished.

Lot of 3rd set tie breakers in singles, but we pulled it out. Their boys weren't as deep as ours, they had one good one, but our number one still handled him with ease.

Should have beat Will's Point, but it was close either way.

Not really sure how Van beat WP though, surprised me..
VolleyDoll
Well hey congrats to Spring Hill for clenching a top 3 finish! And as for Van, they're full of surprises. I'm just curious what they'll show up at regionals with. I'm sure he'll keep us guessing until that point.

Now that regional team tennis has came and went...who will make the most noise at regionals in april?
nd03td
Actually the Spring Hill/ WP match was 11-8, Van beat WP 10-9, and SH beat Kaufman 11-6. It has been a long time since Kaufman hasn't gone. Van did what they had to do and they did it within the rules but I personally don't think that foreign exchange students shouldn't be able to compete at the varsity level. If they don't have the 2 exchange students they would have struggled to get third. But their other kids fought hard and won some big matches also. Natalie played out of her mind in singles. She was great. I was very impressed with all three teams that advanced. Didn't get to see Kaufman. Good luck to them all at state. Hopefully they will get some good draws.

First round we lost to Wharton 10-3, then 2nd round we lost to La Feria 10-5.

We played Will's Point our 3rd match and won 11-3. (a little proof we choked at regionals)

Will's Point is still some of the classiest people we have played ever though.

We then played Van and won 10-5. (more proof Van shouldn't have been Regional champs)

The one brazillian kid from Van embarassed himself the whole time, talking trash which ended up not even helping him considering he lost, then he got off the court trying to start a fight, that didn't work well for him..

Van's coach thought it would show great "sportsmanship" to do a huddle and yell "Regional Champs" at their bus.

We just yelled back "2-0".

Sucks though, Van never beat us this year.. wink.gif

For them to have an all year tennis program, with tennis class, and players that just play tennis, I think that's embarassing to lose to a school who doesn't even have a true tennis program, just a bunch of athletes with racquets.

Either way, Regionals in April should be interesting...

Got this out of the Longview News Journal.

" Longview won the girls team title and Gladewater captured the boys crown of the Eastman High School Tennis Tournament on Saturday. Twelve area schools and 201 players participated.

The same thing at state vs. Frisco Wakeland, they pulled him and defaulted his match against Frisco. I was embarrassed for their coaches because they are both classy people. I doubt that the coach had them yell regional champs, it was probably one of their kids. Spring Hill will be tough next year.

We were aware, but because we never planned to stay the night in Longview (Texarkana is about 2 hours away) we weren't prepared to stay the night (we were just gonna drive home and back the next day..). And because the roads were supposed to freeze over that night, our AD wouldn't let the busses leave the school til 10 a.m Saturday morning. It was a dumb situation. But yeah, that's why we had to pull out of the whole thing.

Tyler Get Ready results?

Boy's Singles (THS) Moser and (THS) Adams made it to the final but it wasn't played.
Boy's Doubles Lindale and Tyler Lee had just started when the rain came and ended played...they may have tried to finish the final this morning.
Girl's Doubles Lindale and THS were playing when rain came the final. The match halted...both teams will most likely play each other in district anyway.
I have no idea who was in the finals of the girl's singles...I'm guessing the Kilgore girl?
Bulldogtennis
In girls singles, Lindale beat Kilgore in the semis. I'm guessing it was Lindale vs. Longview in the final. The Lindale, Longview, and Kilgore girls are about the same. They have all beaten each other....I think.

In mixed, Nacogdoches beat Kilgore in the final. Kilgore had an impressive win over Lindale in the semis, and Nac beat a Lee team that was missing C. Bulls.
