Full Version: district predictions
Anyone want to take a guess at what your district tournament results will be? I know all of district 12-4A was at the Get Ready yesterday, so that was probably a pretty good idea of what everyone will be playing in district.

Boys Singles:
Atlanta
Liberty Eylau
Girls Singles:
Pleasant Grove--hopefully can grab a 1 or 2 seed at regionals again...should probably be 2nd seed but anything can happen in those meetings so who knows.

Mixed Dubs:
LE--will be a good team, possible lower seed at regionals? They beat WP mixed early this season in a tiebreak.

Well, I'll tell you who I think the seeds will be.
Girls Singles: Henderson and Kilgore are heavy favorites
Girls Doubles: Jacksonville, Kilgore, and Nac probably faves...Whitehouse or Henderson could be the darkhorse
Boys Singles: Whitehouse, Jacksonville, & Hallsville probably the top 3
Boys Doubles: interesting matchups..no heavy favorites. Jacksonville and Kilgore are probably favorites, but Whitehouse, Marshall, Nac, and Hallsville all have pretty good dubs teams.
Mixed Doubles: Nacogdoches and Kilgore are heavy favorites

I don't know but I heard the PG singles girl is a beast. A very pretty beast.. 
I'm guessing she'll probably be going pretty far this year..

And it was not LE that beat Robinson it was Liberty Hill...but it was in a third set. Liberty Hill is in YOUR region (3) and will now most likely be seeded above Tuck and Dan but I expect Robinson to upset them at regionals and of course, win state like I know they can
And Pack Kid--I've got Frisco girl(s) on my hands now...it will be a challenge but I'm up for it

Oh come on Gavin..don't you keep up with football?? Liberty Hill definitely beat Gilmer in the state finals this year.
Liberty Hill is in the Central Texas area...I'm not sure where exactly. They are in District 18 along with Cameron, Taylor, Hutto...etc. So I would imagine it being off the interstate somewhere between Round Rock and Waco.
And of course it will be a good match (Robinson v. Center)...every match Robinson wins is a good match
And her name is Nicole Long, freshman. You can look her up yourself hahah--but hopefully she's the only one who is capable of "stopping me", however that doesn't mean she will! haha
haha.... well gavin i'd really like to see you in a patriots uniform, but i guess maybe we'll meet at ita's or during the season... good luck to you guys! go win state and rep for East Texas!

Moser(THS) and Adams(THS) will go 1 and 2 in singles.
Everything else is up in the air.
It's going to be a war between THS and Lindale to qualify individuals for regionals...both teams match up real well.

From what I've seen from both teams this Spring, I think Lindale might have the edge in all categories except for boys singles. Their mixed and girls single definately looked stronger. Lindale won the Get Ready in both girls and boys doubles over T-High in semis or finals, but I'm sure it was competitive in both events.

The THS boy's doubles team didnt play Lindale at the Get Ready last time was our tourny when they went three.
THS girls doubles were playing Lindale in the final of that tourny when rain canceled the final...it would have be good for them to play each other.
Their mixed team is really solid though...I guess you can have solid doubles team when your 1-4 players are all in doubles :-)

looks like i owe Kilgore an apology. well boys doubles that is. I knew that Smith could dominate, I was hoping that she would use that post as a motivator... which i can only hope she did.
