Well i can say with much awesomness that center is taking 7 out of 10 events to regionals.
Lets talk doubles. What all teams have Tucker and Dann played this season?? Have they played Frisco or Texas High or Groesbock???

I had to get up for a tournament this morning at LE...rain or shine!

And congrats to Center...I'm suprised ya'll aren't taking more since ya'll are pretty much team domination and all haha. Didn't yall take 9 last year?

And doubles...even though it's not even my region haha...Tuck and Dan havn't played a ton of teams this season since Tuck played Basketball. I do know they played Groesbeck and won. I'm not sure about much else. They beat that All Saints team 8-2 that you and Jeremy played. Who is this Justin kid Jeremy is playing with? Have I seen him?? And don't get your hopes up because Tucker is the most determined person I know.

Justin and Jeremy beat that All Saints team 8-2 as well. Me n Jeremy played sooooo bad that match. We havn't played that bad since we were Soph. Me and Jeremy killed Groesbeck at regionals and then at state we messed around and groesbeck thought they would win, it was hilarious. Justin is our number 3 kidd, he beat most people he played this year really easily. We didnt dominate as much at district this year cause our team dropps off pretty bad after 4 and our bottom girls can almost beat our best so its not that pretty.

Actually all of center's girls medaled. It was the boy's team that was lacking this year. They are only taking one boy's doubles and one singles to regionals on tha boys side. Guess the girls stepped up and the boys regressed a little.

The finals are to be played tomorrow but here is the finals so far for my district.

obviously you cannot read very well The Coach. like i said our boys drop off badly after num. 4... correct? Now lets talk, our num. 1 boy won the singles draw only losing 4 games the entire tournament also our num. 2 and 3 boys played doubles and aslo only lost 4 games the entire tournament. our num. 4 boy didnt play because he's failing badly. Our num. 5 boy played with our num. 8 boy and got 3rd losing to hudson in the semis. our num. 6 boy who never won a match at regionals or state lost to the boy i beat down. Our girls did suprisingly well, there are no other good girls in the district ex. alix smith who played singles and won. our num. 1 girls doubles team almost lost to our num. 2 which consists of our our 5-7 players. Our boys that are good beat down the competition, our girls lost closely.

I hate people that start talking trash that either suck or dont know what their talking about!!!!!

#1 Boy is way overrated.

Just saying that I've heard rumors that those Center boys are always talking trash....including talking trash to their own girls and putting them down. But looks like the tables have turned. Seems like Center's girls have improved over the year and the boys have stayed the same or got worse.

By the way...why are they playing their kid that went to state last year as a singles player, in doubles this year? Seems like he should be playing singles and their supposed #1 should be in doubles. Great way to punish a kid....make it to state and they bump you down to doubles!!!

Well if you look at the matches at state where we played Wylie,Taylor,and Grosebeck the girls only won one match out of what like 27 matches losing to wylie 10-3, taylor 10-8,and grosebeck 10-9 that is really improving. The #1 and #2 boy only lost 1 singles match in regionals and state and the #3 went undefeated in singles in regionals and state #4 only lost like 3 in regionals and state. They really turned the table there right

I hate to put my team down but when they don't practice, there is no excuse for losing. Thats why our girls went 2-16 the second day of state team tennis. Also Jeremy wanted to play doubles last year and this year. When you have a player who has a really good singles record hmm hes bound to play singles. Who is Groesbeck to talk trash, hmm having the number 2 mixed team beat the number 1 team!! What a load!!! Jordan was sooo much better than that other kid and you know it. Trying to mess with the seedings you are a terrible sport

But still your #2 can beat your #1 on any given day.

Texas High claimed the district title with the Boys winning and the girls finishing second. The overall score was 26.5 to 26.0. The Boys won their 18th consecutive title dating back to 1991. Congrats to Lindale for a strong showing. No mattter which team won, Coach Watson was going to win district.

Texas High does have a really good program and they have kept it going for a long time. I know a guy from Nac. named Jason Gound who played about 13-15 years ago. he was saying the other day that Texas high used to be 5A and were always hoss. Same goes with Tyler Lee, Longview( Arrant was really really good). He went on about other schools but ive since forgotten

Haha well our Number 1 singles boy had an MRI friday and he tore some tendons in his ankle, and didn't know if he would play ar district. He got to district with his ankle wrapped up, etc. etc., Cates walks up to him and says, "Oh Corey, your ankle hurting? It's really gonna hurt when I'm holding the 1st place medal.."

Sucks that he never made it to play Corey, he got upset by our #3 guy in the Semi's. He also then refused to shake our player's hand after a 3 setter, and stormed off pouting, got in his mini-van, and drove off.

Corey ended up winning the tournament beating our number 3 guy, it was quite ironic for Cates.


Number 1 seed after winning a lot of tournaments, and then talk trash at district and get stomped on, go figure?

As far as 3A region 2 I think the most interesting draw will be the Girls Doubles draw. There really aren't any "powerhouses" or easy favorites here, however there are SEVERAL solid teams that are all very very close to the same level. I've seen a lot of these teams play this year and our top girls dubs team (PG) has played extremely close matches with a lot of the teams that will be favored at regionals, losing most in tiebreakers or close prosets with a 6-8 score. I also think the rest of the top girls dubs teams have had flip flopped results with different opponents. This seeding process will be interesting and unpredictable, and although there are only 4 "seeds" I believe there will be a few dark horses in this draw that could easily upset any of these teams. Athens, Kaufman, Spring Hill and Wills Point I expect will be the favorites. PG, Wakeland, WP #2, Kaufman #2....all of these teams will be very capable of upsetting. It will very well come down to the mental game of these doubles players because physically I don't think there is one team that is just so much greater than the other.

Mixed is always fun to watch in our region. Spring Hill should be the easy favorite here, with Van, Wills Point, LE, and maybe Wakeland in the mix. I wasn't too impressed with Van's team myself, Natalie is an excellent doubles player it just seems like they should have put her with a better guy? Who knows though...Van has a way of always suprising us. WP has a very solid doubles team as well, however they did lose a tiebreaker to LE which could put LE in a seeded position...that is if they have seeding information sent in. LE's team could be capable of beating any of these teams but the guy can be an extreme mental case and that has cost him every year at regionals.

I don't know much about boys though...I suppose the pack kid could help me out?

Oh..and girls singles. I expect seeds to look something like 1) Liberty 2) PG 3) Van Alstyne 4) Bullard. Commerce has a girl that might could manage a 4 seed.

I really have no idea about boys.


The Van's #1 singles guy should be seeded number 1, I can't think of anyone who could be seeded over him..

Besides him I don't know.


Doubles I also don't know..

I heard Frisco-Wakeland is good, so maybe they will be seeded 1?

We've beat the Kaufman team, the Wills Point team, and we beat one of the Van teams in the fall..

But we've also lost to Van's team, so I don't know how it will pan out.


I seriously doubt my partner and I have a chance at being seeded, but we didn't expect to.
