This is a fight I've been waiting to see. Unfortunately, not a good start for Calzaghe....down from a clean overhand right by Hopkins in the first. Still think it's going to be a long, tough fight.

Nice to see a quality fight like this on HBO, rather than PPV...tough fight so far....fairly even outside of the one knockdown...typical Hopkins fight, pushing the limits of the rules as far as he can

Split-decision victory for Calzaghe.....typical Vegas judging effort.....they must've slept through half of it or spent too much time talking to celebrities during the fight....Calzaghe landed more punches against Hopkins than anyone ever has...Hopkins (at 43) finally met an opponent who can bend the rules as well as him....impressive effort by Hopkins considering the age, but he was dominated after Round 1
