Ugly, ugly game. Hornets take Game 1: 101 to 82.
Wasn't an easy game for the Hornets, but the "fresher, younger" legs won (I believe it was David West in the postgame interview). Ugly, ugly, ugly game ....
GO! SPURS! GO!!!!!

Man, the Hornets punked the Spurs. Paul was dribbling circles around those old dudes.
I'll take New Orleans in 4.

Spurs have plenty left.........I think, but they have to get ready for this young gunner type team that is red hot now,

And I'd have to nod my head and agree. **I still love my SPURS!!!!**

The sun will rise in the mourning, but tonight I'm beginning to wonder what players will be "retired" so that the SPURS will have younger, fresher legs. Will the integrity and character of the team stay intact with those changes?
Oh, I hate change!

Were those Mav players wearing Spurs uniforms?jk
Spurs need to regroup and protect home court.

At this point, I would be shocked if the Spurs could extend this series to five games......as the Mavs did.
I love ya Yao, but it looks like someone should go ahead and stick a fork in the Spurs....
They're done.

Unless something miraculous happens, Immortal, I have to agree with you. They haven't had the drive or the fire all season. As I wrote earlier, I have a feeling there will be some changes in the Spurs roster. They may have more experience, but they are being beaten by youth. This has been a topic of conversation in San Antonio for a couple years now - the age of the players. They can outplay and outscore in the first half and lose it in the third? That's age and exhaustion.
Oh well, the fat lady's warming up, but she hasn't started singing yet....

The end of the 2nd quarter was just great. Really want they needed. They played like the true Spurs in the second half, and N.O. had no answer.

So far, a great 3rd quarter for the champion SPURS. They are playing like they're hungry for another championship. Question is, can they play this well when they return to New Orleans??????
SERIES TIED 2 TO 2 -
SPURS win 100 - 80!
Thank you, SPURS, for making this Mother's Day end as perfectly as it began!!!!!

Okay, I have a theory - only diehard SPURS fans respond.
See, I've been thinking that maybe the Hornets didn't allow the SPURS to bring in their oxygen tanks (you know, after all the comments people have been making about the younger, fresher legs of the Hornets versus the creaky, tired, old legs of the SPURS - sucking oxygen during halftime would be advantageous to the old guys). Well, that got me to thinking.
What if ... during halftime the Hornets actually had several huge vacuums that sucked out most of the oxygen in the SPURS locker room - leaving the SPURS light-headed and confused during the third quarter? OR
What if ... they were actually
poisoning the SPURS with mold spores - you know the leftover Hurricane Katrina effect? Hmmmmm....
Both of those would actually make the SPURS feel pretty crappy until they got the blood going again and were able to expel all the "bad" air ... taking most of the 3rd quarter. Hmmmmmmm....
Now - it they play well tonight - at home - during the 3rd quarter, I'm going to really wonder about that halftime locker room in New Orleans. Anybody with me on this?????

GCPride - let's hope you're right. So far, Immortal and I have been wrong.... I still think SPURS - they are due a win on the road. Monday night ...
SPURS win Game 6: 99 - 80
Series tied.
The SPURS just can't seem to win it all for the home crowd! Tradition - it's okay.... Just WIN!!!!!

You SPURS haters are so funny!!!!! Just about spewed my Americana all over the screen! First, the SPURS don't play aggressively enough - and when they do - they are accused of playing dirty. You and CNO need to start your own thread!

You could see who hates them more.... You're funny!

but that should read SA v LA series, if you don't mind.
