What are your thoughts?

Pickin Celtics in 7 but it could go either way.

Should be a great series.

Celtics will prevail. All of the famous Celtic ghosts from the past visit during home games from across the street at the old Gawden........propelling the Celtics to the top.

This should be a great series of the NBA Finals. Boston will have to be more aggressive to beat the Lakers but i'm sure that the celtics will be ready to face the lakers and they won't go easy on them. I'll be rooting for the celtics. Celtics in 6.

the little green leprecons in 6..........okay the big tall green leprecons

ESPN kept rambling on about how it would be great for the NBA's credibility if the spurs and pistons went to the finals...

seriously...this is about as good as it can get for the NBA...a historic rivalry...hof players sqaring off...kobe and KG both with something to prove...this is going to be a classic.

Game 1 of this series is tonight at 8! Looking forward to a great battle. Let's go Lake Show!

Pickin Celtics in 7!

Respected Magic, but don't like the Lakers. I'm going with the Celtics to win in 7. After all, they're experienced in doing that during these playoffs.

And look for Ray Allen to step up his game in the finals .. and make the difference.

Celtics pull off the biggest comeback in NBA playoff history................lead series 3 to 1.
shoelessjoelives
And now it will literally be "magic" if the Lakers come back after being down 3-1. Celtics shouldn't lose 2 straight in Boston. Lakers are "officially" the favorite to win today in The Staples Center.
Bear_Den
Gladly the Lakers won yesterday. I can't believe they keep blowing the big leads that they have started out with for the past 2 games. It's gonna be hard to win 2 straight in Boston but I believe they can force a game 7

The 2nd half of game 4 was a joke. The Lakers came out intense and determined and after they took the 24 point lead, they relaxed. I was at work and I was NOT in a good mood after that game.

Game 5 was the same thing. L.A. built a big lead early and once again, let it slip away. The main difference other than the outcome?, they didn't give up in the 3rd quarter. Every other game, the Lakers were getting killed when it came to 3rd quarter scoring.

I'm not too optimistic about the Lakers coming back and winning the series, but they still have a chance. Winning 3-in-a-row against Boston with 2 games being in Bean Town is going to be a monumental task. Is it likely to happen? Nope. Is it possible? Very much so!
shoelessjoelives
With Russell, Havlicek and other Celtic greats in the arena tonight it looks like the Celtic-lore is going to be too much for the Lakers to overcome.

Starting the 4th quarter and the Celtics are up by 29 points.

Might as well hand Doc and the Celtics the O'Brien trophy now. NO way the Lakers are coming back. Good job Celtics!!! thumbsup.gif

Bulls over the Jazz in '98 is the mark for biggest blowout in the finals.

Four minutes left and the only thing between the Celtics and their 17th banner is s few verses of Steam's '70's hit "Na-Na-Hey-Hey".

Celts 131-92 victory and "it's all ova, it's all ova". Johnny Most is proud indeed.
