It took him a while, but he pulled it off finally.
After his final pit stop he was supposed to be 6 laps short on gas.........how he nursed 6 laps and an additional 3 of overtime out of that car is beyond me.

I know he saved a bunch on the one caution by shuting his engine down and coasting when he could. Great win for Jr. because he has been on the other side of this fuel mileage race and I am glad he made the best of it yesterday. Tony Jr. told him if the pitted for gas he would be 25th..If they ran out of gas he would be 25th...So why the heck not go for it...I thought it was gutsy considering you are 3rd in points...But, he got the win and now on to the road course in Sonoma

It's about time!!!
Glad to see Jr. do well. Thank God it wasn't another toyota win. Everyone knows I'm a #24 fan, but today I was for the #88 toward the end. As bad as Jeff Gordon drives these days, I needed someone to back.
Jeff hasn't been able to drive a milk truck this year fast enough to out race that blue haired old lady on her hoveround powerchair.

Hooray for jr! He finally got that monkey off his back. Wow! He was soooo moved by his win and humble about it. Nice for a change. Can't wait to see what he does the rest of this season!

Congrads to JR, JR and team. I hope getting through in a points race will put him on a roll. After this weeks road race it is back to Daytona.........guess that is a great track for him...lol. Keep rolling JR.
