I'm startin this just to see what the general opinion is, not to ruffle feathers.
Anyways, im pretty sure I'd give this one to the UFCer's.
After all, look what happened to the "great pro wrestler" Brock Lesner after he stepped outta the squared circle and into the octagon.
Frank Myr had him tappin like morse code, and cryin the whole time lol.

I would most definately give the upper hand to UFC Fighters. Though their bodies are smaller, they are quiet built for their size and it seems that Pro Wrestlers are just muscle strong (just for show off muscles).

Lesner was beating the crap out of Mir from my point of view. Mir was lucky he got that foot.
Give Lesner a little more time and experience and he'll own Mir.

did you even watch this fight? I thought for a minute that Brock was about to kill Mir. Mir got lucky he caught an inexperienced fighter in an ankle lock. Lessner was kicking his butt the whole time up until he made the mistake. Lessner will be the champ in the near future.

That was Mir's game plan... take some shots while looking for the foot. Wrestlers are bad about leaving the foot out there. From my point of view Mir found it and won easily.

Well his strategy worked but I still say he was getting the hell beat out of him till then. The bottom line is he won the fight.

It's looking the same to me.
The UFC is looking very similar to the old days of wrasslin'. Ken Patera, was a strongman back in the 70's. Jack Patera, his brother was an ex-Dallas Cowboy in the '60's before he blew out his knee, and the first coach of the Seattle Seahawks.
Boxing has been called corrupt, since the days of Jim Braddock.
I'm starting to wonder if it's all "staged". Some say prevention of injuries, but you haven't heard about them in the UFC.
All I see, is a bunch of guys rumbling and tumbling.

mma fighters are the best of the best of combined combat sports( wrestling, muay thai, karate, judo, jui jitsu, etc...) some have paticipated in the Olympics and won metals...
Randy Couture was an olympic alternate 4 different times. The skills these guys have are way beyond any WWE/TNA guy could muster. Now, if a guy like KAngle trained, with his background, he could develop into something.( if he was younger...)
it's not a smart comparison though. MMA is hand to hand combat with rules to ensure fair competition. Military groups use these techniques. Israeli special forces calls it krav maga. US Amry Rangers trained with Brazilian JJ master Royce Gracie.

We'll find out definitively on 11/15 at UFC 91.
For the UFC Heavyweight Championship
Brock Lesnar
vs.
Randy Couture
Ortega's educated prediction: Couture makes Lesnar cry like a woman.
